Great Underlayer
I have been buying this brand for years - perfect underlayer. This was a gift and my Mom found it perfect to for travel in a cold region. Very soft fabric. Not see through at all.

Update to my first review
I really needed an item like this: a silky feel, close fitting underlayer. But I was very disappointed with the size medium I ordered. It was so small that I quite literally couldn't get my head through the turtleneck! Now that was a first! I normally wear a 10 and the sizing chart you get when you're going through the ordering process is an Amazon sizing chart which says that a medium fits size 10 - 12. Guess what: Hot Chilis sizing is different! Check their website before ordering. I had to return the size medium. Yesterday the size large arrived and, though I am going to keep it, I am still somewhat disappointed in the odd sizing. Yes, I got it on and the arms are long enough and the body is close fitting (their sizing chart says this fits size 12 - 14 -- not!) but there is tightness in the armholes and across the back. Too weird. The fabric is exactly what I wanted however and I'll make do but look for another brand if I get another turtleneck for a base layer in the future.A year later: I take some of the above back. At the end of the winter season I had to admit that I reached for this base layer first -- it became my favorite. It takes awhile to get used to the sizing; very close armholes, extremely close fitting body, tight neck. That said, all the other reviews that complained about the sizing must have had an effect because, having decided to get a second one of these, I ordered the large like I'd gotten last year and it is now too big! I will have to return it and get the medium which didn't fit me last year. No change in me, so it must be that they've fixed the sizing. When you finally get the size that fits you, you will like this top.

Love my Peach Skin turtlenecks!
There has been a lot of confusion on sizing for this item. I have been wearing the Hot Chilly's peach skins for a long time. (guessing about 15 years). It is important to look at the fit each year. Some years it is a traditional fit and I need a large. Other years, it is a relaxed fit and a medium is perfect. I contacted the vendor prior to ordering to verify the fit. I ordered 2 from Amazon and another 2 from the vendor as I also wanted the green which is not available on Amazon. The t-necks have flat seams which is nice under sweaters, jackets and vests. I used these as my main work tops under jackets and vests as they are so easy to clean. I pop into the washer and dryer and they come out just great. I took a look at my really old ones - and there is some minor (not noticeable) pilling on some of them - but the pills are very small and hard to see.I tend to wear them for work or casual and not for sports. They are warmer than they look but I am a "merino wool" base layer person for running, cross country skiing and snow shoeing. The neck is comfortable - I just pull it on and allow the neck to go wherever it wants to go naturally. You can roll it over into a classic t-neck style if desired. My old ones have never faded despite many washings! This year's model has a double flat seam at the shoulder. My older ones had a single seam at the shoulder. It is not a raglan but two seams coming from the neck to the shoulder.I am so excited to find more of these turtlenecks and hoping the new ones last as long as my older ones.

Really soft and comfy. Sleeves don't roll up very well.
I got two of these as a base layer for a ski trip. The shirts are really soft and comfortable, though they seem like they could get little pulls easily if you accidentally caught the fabric on something rough. (This hasn't happened --- it just looks like it could.) They are also very thin and light -- when they arrived I worried that they wouldn't be warm enough on the slopes. They were great, though, and that wasn't a problem: I wore them under a "3 in 1" ski coat in 20-degree weather on a mountaintop, and I was perfectly cozy.My only real complaint is that the cuffs at your wrist don't stretch much and therefore it's impossible to comfortably roll up the sleeves if you're too warm. When sitting in the lodge drinking hot chocolate later in the day, that was a little frustrating, but not too much of a big deal. I don't have giant arms or anything -- I usually wear small shirts and the Hot Chilly's I bought were also small.I also wish that they didn't have the Hot Chilly's logo at the bottom. It isn't offensive or anything, but if they didn't have the logo I might buy more of these shirts to wear on dressier occasions. It's about 0.75 inches by 1.5 inches and is kind of hard to read from a distance. Consequently, it sometimes looks like an unattractive blob or stain. (You can see it in the photos by the model's left hip.) This isn't a problem when you're wearing a bunch of athletic gear, but it would be if I wanted to wear this with a nice skirt. Which is a shame, because they are comfortable and have a flattering cut.
