I needed a small clock to put on my dressing table. It had a job to do - keeping me to time as lockdown had left me prone to drift off.It is actually very pretty in the pale green and every time I look at it makes me smile.Joy in a tiny clock - who knew!

Cute alarm looks wise but back-light stopped working after 3 presses, annoying as I can't see time in dark without putting lamp on . The case is solid enough but the buttons for setting alarm and moving the hands are very flimsy and could come off easily so I wouldn't use it to travel.The numerals don't stand out particularly well so if your eyesight is dodgy you'd have a bit of difficulty in low light.The hands are not illuminated either,another minus. But a plus is that it is totally silent. The alarm is gentle and won't give you a heart attack but If you're a heavy sleeper I doubt it would wake you. For looks and quietness good,but for reasons above I wouldn't recommend. My Lorus was far better quality for the price. This isn't good value for money for practicality as an actual alarm clock. Just looks cute on a shelf.

The most important thing for me has always been the sound of an alarm - so much so, I used to replace defunct clocks by going into jewellers and asking to hear the alarms. This one doesn't crash into my dreams alarmingly, but gently rouses me.It's an attractive clock, reminiscent of a tubby pocket watch (but bigger!) with its metal ring at the top. So far, it has functioned perfectly with a basic AA battery I had in stock at home.

Bought it for our caravan. Keeps good. time movements are silent . Nice accessory to the bedroom

Would recommend. I need the room dark with no noise when sleeping so this is perfect. Can pick it up and press a button to give a dim light so you can read the time.
