Q: Are these ripped in the back? I can't really tell by the pictures given

Um No! Just in the back! I just got them and the front isn’t tattered.

Q: Can I wear the "black tattered" ones as pants, or are they see-through?

They are basically heavy tights with large holes in them. The are not sheer or see through other than the cut out shapes. Wore them several times with a devil halloween costume I purchased on Amazon. They where very good quality and held up very well. I hope I answered you question.

The black may not be available. When I ordered the black description and product delivered matched.
