The book was just like new. One of the best books I've ever read on slavery!.

Ordered as a textbook for an online course; arrived pretty chewed up (the shipping envelope was fine, so it was packed this way, not a shipping issue. It'll work...hopefully, as long as I don't need the discussion questions in the back.

Good read

After doing much advocacy work against human trafficking, there came a point where I felt that I had read every slavery, kidnapping and abuse memoir possible. This book instantly became my favorite. Each chapter contains an inside look into various kind of slavery going on in the world - in homes, labor camps, etc. - and often right under our noses. I would highly recommend this book as it gives many differing first-hand experiences of those enslaved today.

This book is amazing, it shows the reader a glimpse of how horrid it is for people that deal with slavery, and not just one type of slavery.I think we need books like this one to be read more and more open to the public, the topic deserves more public recognition to help fight modern day slavery.

I was shocked that this kind of thing goes on in modern times. Hopefully, with more exposure, something can be done about it.

An amazing mind blowing look at modern day slavery! The accounts are heart wrenching and astounding. It covers experiences right here in the USA and all over the world. It is shocking that slavery is still a modern day problem!!
