Excellent sound, small size, but bass control is on subwoofer
This is an excellent little speaker system all things considered. I use it as an upgrade to my kitchen TV, which I mostly use to listen to music channels. And given that it's a tiny little TV without even stereo speakers, this is a big upgrade as you would expect. However, one disappointment is that the desktop control dial does _not_ have a bass volume control feature, which is specified in the item's description. There is bass control, but it is on a knob attached to the subwoofer. Which, in most cases including mine, sits on the floor out of easy reach under a table. On the upside, for the most part I can leave the bass level at one generally good place, but some songs are overly bassy, and it'd be nice to adjust on the fly as advertised. But the sound is absolutely amazing, particularly for the price and size. In my kitchen, where the acoustics are awful to abyssmal, this little speaker set comes out like it's a soundproof recording studio. It's one of those things where they've clearly simply gotten it right - the left and right speaker produce crystal clear, warm sound that combines perfectly with the tiny but wildly effective subwoofer. The highs are _very_ crisp and clear, the volume is very good, the bass can be as deep as you need (very impressive considering the tiny, tiny size of the sub!). After comparing it to several others (including several Logitech sets, a brand I've enjoyed thoroughly in the past, and a couple of Altec Lansings), this one comes out ahead for sound quality to my ears even above sets that are twice or thrice the price. The set sounds fantastic, and for under thirty bucks, it's must get.

GOOD VALUE FOR THE PRICE !
i Installed the system on my work computer's desk which is about 6" away from a flat wall. The satellite speaker(s) are located and both left and right side of my 24" Computer monitor desktop at about the same distance (24") to my ears. The satellite speaker are set approximately 24" apart and are set at full on volume. The woofer speaker (small black box) has it's volume bass control set at maximum and is located on the floor. Sound balance is ok and the volume is nominally acceptable. However, you will NEVER hear a complaint that the sound level is TOO loud. Do NOT expect anything remotely close to "ear-splitting" sound levels out of this system. If you like loud music - spend more money. Manufacturing and packing were very good. Approximately 7 years ago I purchased another sound system made by this manufacturer . It still functions well.

Sub quit at under 3 months, but CA support making it right.
I've had them less than 3 months, and was loving them up until a few minutes ago when the subwoofer just quit providing bass out of nowhere. Can't do 5 stars since the subwoofer /did/ quit on me after just a few months, but after contacting CA support through their website I have been approved for a warranty replacement. The process was relatively painless and the response times to both the initial complaint and subsequent form I was sent was within a few days.

Dead Before 1 Week is Over, DO NOT BUY
Pros: When they work, they deliver great audio for the price you pay Cons: THEY PRETTY MUCH NEVER WORK My set had wiring issues on arrival rendering the left speaker dead, and the replacement I received ALSO had wiring issues, this time around the sub box, sub was completely dead after less than a week I ordered one of these as computer speakers, and right out of the box the left speaker was completely dead on arrival. Even plugging headphones into the speaker's audio jack resulted in no audio coming from the left side of the headphones. Other than that, I got great sound quality from just the right side speaker + sub. I sent my damaged product in for a replacement. While testing out the replacement product, I noticed that the sub randomly died. If i pushed the power cable to a certain angle, the sub would kick back in, but when I let the cable dangle freely the sub would frequently die, and when it would work there would be a really annoying loud fuzz sound until I physically propped the cable back up. If the wiring on either of the products I received had been properly done, this product would easily be 5 stars for the audio quality you get for the price. However, receiving two brand new damaged items is just too much of a coincidence for me, and I suspect that these speakers probably don't last very long even if they function properly out of the box. UPDATE: I have had these for almost a whole week and sub is already completely dead. Really wish I had paid attention to how many other 1 star reviews listed this exact / very similar problem. Bottom line: DO NOT BUY, this product will crap out on you pretty much as soon as you take it out of the box.

Decent for the price, but you get what you pay for
See update below... 1st review: For the price, it's decent. The volume controller is the number 1 feature that I was looking for so I can manually control the volume of my speakers or headphones. Headphones and/or auxiliary devices (iphone, android, etc.) connect to the volume controller as well (auxiliary cable not included), which is convenient. My only issue seems to be one that others have complained about. There is a constant humming or buzzing sound coming from the subwoofer. The hum is a low sound but I can hear it pretty well. The hum is on from the moment that it is plugged in and switched on (via volume controller), and does not change in volume when the volume of the speakers are changed. UPDATE: A few minutes after writing this review, I realized that I can switch off the subwoofer and speakers via volume control knob BUT still listen and control volume of attached headphones which is AWESOME. I listen via headphones probably 30+ hours a week, and I listen via speakers and subwoofer probably less than a couple hours a week. UPDATE 10/16/2014: I bought another set of these speakers. It seems the hum is not as bad, but still a little noticeable, compared to my first set. I notice that some songs sound better than others with the subwoofer. There are times when I just want to throw away the subwoofer. Then there are times that it's not bad. I wonder at times if I would have rather have paid another $30 to have a better set of speakers. I don't know. I mainly use my headphones so it doesn't bug me too much, I suppose. The two small speakers were great for my use. And, again, the volume control knob is awesome. I use it all day long everyday. UPDATE 12/07/2014: For the most part, I don't use the subwoofer because I am always plugged in with my headphones. The few times that I've listened to music without headphones, I have been unhappy with the subwoofer. It's pretty bad. Even with the knob on the subwoofer turned down almost all the way, it sounds distorted and terrible. I don't know why. It's that way with my other set of the same speakers too, so it's not just this particular one. I guess I get what I paid for, which I think is still fair. I may fork out $75-$100 later on to get some better, name-brand speakers that sound better.

Love this
This set of speakers was worth my money and Cyber Acoustics rarely disappoints...only thing I do not like is the movable volume that is a separate piece from the woofer and speakers...this could lead to damages if it breaks

It lasted me 6 years of daily use, shocked and impressed.
I really cannot believe this product. It's pretty hilarious to me actually. Thoroughly impressed here. I originally purchased this product back in 2016, back then for only $24. It only recently (August 2021) finally failed me; one of the speakers blew out. For the price point of what I paid, the very fact that I got as many years out of this product, for the level of unassuming quality it presents, wow; just wow. Now don't get me wrong, this is no Logitech special or anything, but for $30, holy *fill in censored word here*, this can't be beat. I bought this thing fully expecting super sub-par sound quality and just needed something that gave me sound in general. I am surprised and please to say that what I got instead was seemingly a rare and great product. I'm no sound pro, but **I** always thought it sounded good enough to make me enjoy my music to handle homework, gaming, etc. It was to the point it never gave me any problems and sounded good enough that I figured I would just wait until it broke to replace it; as I said earlier only recently took place. I replaced this system with the Logitech Z407 (I now love that set up a lot). But if you are on a very tight budget and need something/anything, but really hoped for something that sounded very decent, look no further. This workhorse of a product ought to be in your cart by the end of you reading this.

Bass hard to adjust, total output is weak.
Disappointed. Several years ago I purchased a desktop speaker set like this for my office computer setup and have loved it. So when I was looking for a similar setup for my bedroom, I was expecting a similar experience. That isn't what I got. I chose this unit because I recognized the volume controller. But they didn't turn out to be the same. On my original device, I can control the bass on the sub woofer from a dial on the side of the volume controller. However, on this model you control the amount of bass on the subwoofer itself. Where I placed it behind my bed, it is incredibly difficult to get to and adjust. One reason I purchased this is that I have been using bluetooth speakers with my phone / tablet in the bedroom to be able to play music / ambient sounds (ocean waves, etc.). But the lowest volume setting is still too loud sometimes and the next click down mutes the output entirely. So one thing I DO like on this new set up is that I can actually dial the volume down lower and feel like I have much better control. Which is why I wanted the volume controller that I could put on the nightstand and easily change it instead of fumbling with the volume control on my phone / tablet. However, because the sound output on my previous unit is so great, I was expecting better total output on this one. So while this has worked nicely at low volume levels, this new unit is pretty pathetic when you want to turn up the volume. I find myself maxing out the output on my phone, on the bluetooth device this plugs into, and then on the speakers and am still quite underwhelmed. I put on some music this morning and could barely hear it from the ensuite bathroom. Summary: Controller = Good on control and low end, bad on being able to control bass Speakers = decent on low volume, but underwhelming on louder volume Subwoofer = OK bass, but very inconvenient to adjust on the back of the subwoofer Cables = too short. I placing the subwoofer in the middle of the bed, the speakers would barely reach the bed frame on a king size bed. Overall, I'm tempted to return it. I would not have purchased it had I known what I now know about it.

Excellent value, good bass, well made, easy to use.
For the asking price, this is a great 2.1 speaker system for a PC. The two speakers are well designed with built-in pedestals to hold them upright. They have a nice shiny black on silver color that blends well and matches many modern computer setups. The sound quality of the two speakers is decent, but highs can be a little muddied with the bass from the subwoofer, making some voices occasionally difficult to hear. I wish they were just a bit louder, they seem to be lacking some “oomph”. The subwoofer itself is small but mighty with plenty of bass that really enhances the overall listening experience. You won’t get ground shaking lows, but the bass is immediately noticeable and really adds to the overall experience when gaming or watching movies. The subwoofer has the main 2 prong power cable and the two speakers plug into the back with an aux plug built in to the speakers. There is a small dial on the rear of the sub to adjust the amount of bass, but I found leaving it at the halfway point to sound the best. Very happy with this speaker set overall, for less than $40.00, can’t go wrong.

Stylish unit ... Not very loud
Good product for the money, I have my phone connected to it in my home office and it works well, sound quality is good ... reason I gave a 3 instead of a 5 is simply because when volumes is all the way up (on phone and speakers) it's not terribly loud. At max volume it's at a good listening volume for the room. But it looks good good, works and it's cheap .... I would recommend
