Q: Is this big enough to store a towel and change of clothing for work?

Yes if you roll up tight should be fine and as long as it's a normal towel and not the huge thick beach ones! I used for long distance day ride and had spare cycling clothes (fairly thin layers), food/drink/maps etc and other bits in it. It was perfect - really well made and fits tight to the rack with the Velcro straps (did 82 miles on rough terrain and it didn't move). Probably not big enough if you are putting shoes or anything in there. I cycle to work all the time and leave work shoes at work!
