Idatastart CMBMXA0 for BMW Mini Mercedes Freightliner Remote Start W/Harness

I purchased this for a 2011 bmw x5.This remote starter does not work as described.It prevents you from starting the car normally by inserting the fob into the slot on the dash.It has left me stranded multiple times now because it seems to confuse the immobilizer and will either refuse to start, will act like its going to start and then immediately turn back off, or it will start up and then shutdown as soon as you get in.It then forces you to get back out of the car, relock, and try the process again, because it wont work if you're sitting in the car, and it doesn't allow you to start normally with they key.I have tried multiple programming options and synced the key multiple times, but no change in function.I'd return it if i could, but i stupidly threw the box away after installing it, but before verifying that it works properly.

Works great the only issue I had was the shipper forgot to add the usb webport in the package but they apologized and shipped it the next day immediately which I appreciated and the item came in early. You will also need a regular usb cable not the phone kind of port the camera kind but everything works great the programming would have been a lot easier if it had instructions that came with it but I managed and did it very quick about 25mins disassembly and reassembly on the mini takes about 2 hours and I took my time but every car is different. My only issue with this unit is I can’t figure out how to get lights to stay on after rf sequence instead they flash to let you know it’s running.
