Lisa Renee Jones 5+ smashing stars Do amazing things come in twos and threes
Title: DemandAuthor: Lisa Renee Jones5+ smashing starsDo amazing things come in twos and threes? It would seem that with Lisa Renee Jones' Denial series, it does. I'm not sure how that was possible, but Demand was even better than Denial, and that's saying a lot considering that all my spare time was spent reading. It took me less than a day to finish Demand because it was that entrancing and suspenseful. I HAD to know what this power couple was going through and the update on Ella's memory recovery on whether or not she's finally found out who HE is. That elusive man that us casting such a deep and long shadow over their heads since it would seem that he keeps popping up when things are going well between Ella and Kayden. Only, after finding out, I'm not sure if it's a blessing or a curse (and no, I'm not about to unravel that important tidbit of information). Finally getting to know more about who, what and where Ella (is from) just solidified my belief that she is the perfect woman to stand by Kayden's side as the Hawk's woman and mate.4 breathtaking dreamsNo matter what new memory is uncovered, it will always astound me on just how their bond strengthens - even if Ella is scared of the outcome of finally unlocking all of her memories, never does Kayden's faith in their ability to face everything together waver. Of course there are times when Ella is afraid of the unknown, but once she faces those small demons, it becomes clear on why she managed to survive everything HE put her through. I loved how we find out little by little the secrets that Ella keeps hidden rather than in one huge pile within a few days. I enjoyed watching Ella become the woman that she was meant to become, flourishing under Kayden's protection. And even more so, I was captivated by the changes that Kayden undergoes from being the cold hearted man who would act before thinking, closing off his emotions to all to becoming the man that would do anything and everything in his power to protect the woman that he has fallen head over heels for. I'm certain that the last instalment of this series will be unlocking so many other secrets that will have me gaping and thoroughly surprised, wanting to know more about the author behind the storyline.*ARC provided by Author in exchange for an honest review.Reviewed by Kathleen, The Small Girl from A small girl, her man and her books

As memories return more questions arise…
This is the second book in the Careless Whispers series that should be read in series order. The book opens with a great synopsis of the main characters and past events to refresh our memories. The story continues literally from the moment where the first book left off. Ella is demanding answers from Kayden at the point of a Glock but Kayden is not a man who reveals things before he is ready to. Does she deserve answers? Yes, and she will have them, the timing of her demand though is not good considering recent events related to The Underground. Kayden is an awesome alpha male, he’s never lied but some consider omission the same thing, his words which have deep meaning do defuse the situation. He does not dismiss the anger of the woman he’s let into his life and he understands her feeling of betrayal but now is not the time for this conversation. What a great opening scene, the intense emotions leapt off the page.Ella still suffers from amnesia but each day things trigger memories. She’s more confident about who she is but with every flashback more questions arise. She’s frustrated and worried that what her mind is hiding might hurt those that have offered her protection. I like the woman we are learning about, though for those who have read the Inside Out series there is much contradiction. Ella is a woman who’s kept secrets from her friends, the reasons why have yet to be known. I like this new Ella, she’s a fighter in body and spirit and she’s the perfect woman for the man known as The Hawk and her position as his woman will be challenged. There are many players in this story, all with their own agendas some decidedly dark that you have to wonder who is truly friend or foe. The author has woven a suspenseful tapestry filled with much intrigue and character depth, revelations abound that deepen the mystery to unravel. The author’s seductive writing style drew me further in and I have to know how it all ends. Has Ella placed trust in the right man? Or will he sell her out when she finds what he’s been looking for? Ella’s taken a leap of faith in trusting Kayden, a very dangerous sexy man. And what will she do when she finally faces HIM?ARC provided by the author.

Love this spin off!
Ella's past is making me more and more drawn to the series. All we really knew about her from Inside Out series that she was Sara's best friend and wanted to marry David but now we know she might be more than just a teacher. She can dance and she's great with guns.I'm usually drawn to opposite attract couples but there are some, like Kayden and Ella who I enjoy that have a totally different pasts but they are alike. They both have lost a lot of people and they both have a dark side. That's why they're able to connect and Kayden doesn't need to be careful with her. He can tell her things about the Underground without being afraid she'll get upset and leave him. They're alike even in ways neither of them know.Kayden and Ella both need each other to be handle the good, the bad and even the ugly part of themselves. I'm delighted they are deciding to be together, no matter what happens despite not knowing everything from Ella's past. They're taking control of the situation and they're doing it together. They refuse to let anything from either of their pasts stop what they're now. I found it really sweet how they wanted to keep each other safe but neither really want to be protected. He wants a lot of things from her. Protection isn't one of them. Kayden never wants anything Ella doesn't give him freely and I love that he wants to make her bad memories good ones. He'd rather she didn't remember than be in pain and I think that's sweet. But he won't stop her either. Kayden just wants her to ease into it instead of doing it all at once.We finally know who is the man who Ella is so afraid of but I'm more interested in what happened with David. Hopefully it will be revealed in Surrender. There's so many questions related to him. We also got a tiny bit of information about Kayden's relationship with Elizabeth and he could never trust her the way he trusts Ella because Elizabeth never knew the real him and she was too delicate for his life and he had too keep her shielded. All in all wonderful sequel! I was actually surprised how much I enjoyed it and can't wait to read the last book. I have many hopes for it after reading Demand. Not just answers but also Ella choosing to wear the bracelet, knowing what it means and not just wearing it because she had to in public. I love Ella and Kayden and they're so great together even if they have some distrust between them at times but it's no wonder since she has amnesia and there are things he doesn't always tell her right away. If you like some mystery and suspense with your romance and don't mind the whole amnesia trope I'm totally recommending this one. It has been fun and I never want to put the book down. I was going to give Demand only four stars but after reviewing it I think it totally deserves full five stars. This kind of books are so rare for me and I really did love it.

ohhhh it’s getting real good
Ella’s memories are slowly coming back and things aren’t as they seem. Lots of plans are in motion to understand Ella’s background and also lots of people are blockers and don’t know who to trust.
