On the Outside

Expected this to be classic slighty trashy gay teen fiction- actually really nice and relatable story that I wish I'd been able to get sight of a few years ago. Well written, and you can empathise with all of the characters as they deal with a realistic situation; it evokes the agony and intensity of adolescent romance.

Another great read. Highly recommend this and all Siera Maley's other books. Read within 2 days. I couldn't put it down.

This is a lovely little book. Great characters and storyline. Would recommend this book as a quick read you won't be disappointed.

Great story but was dragged out a bit too much you could tell before reading it what was going to happen too predictable. Sorry

This was such a real and adorable story. I love the friendship between Kayla, Riley, and Evan and the understanding and unconditional love that they have for one another. Riley and Kayla are adorable and I wish I could read more about their relationship.

Nachdem ich Colorblind, Taking Flight und Dating Sarah Cooper von Siera Maley gelesen hatte, war ich auf dieses Buch neugierig. Leider erfüllt das Buch meine Erwartungen nicht ganz.Es geht im Kern um eine Dreiecksgeschichte zwischen den Schülern Kayla, Riley, und Evan, die sich frühzeitig ewige Freundschaft geschworen haben. Doch Evan liebt Riley, Riley liebt Kayla, und Kayla?Die Handlung ist vorhersehbar, und ab einem bestimmten Punkt eigentlich nur noch ein Herumgeeiere, zu viel Rücksichtnahme auf die Gefühle und Befindlichkeiten anderer etc.Das Buch ist nicht schlecht, hat aber leider nicht die Qualität von Taking Flight oder Colorblind.

One of my favorites by Maley. A lot like Colorblind, I was surprised at how much I liked this. Worth a read.

I can so relate to falling for your "straight " (gay) best friend ,when your also "straight" (bi) and being confused at such a young age. I wish I had books like this to read at that time. Maybe I could have handled things differently and still been friends with my bestie. As much as I would have loved to read more of this adorable couple, (hint,hint, another book please Ms Maley) I can see why she wrote this ending. Life has so many twists and turns at age seventeen, not happy ever afters. She left it up to the reader and it left me with a smile on my face. Great story.

This is a good book. There are numerous grammatical errors which detracted from the overall enjoyment, but otherwise a solid story with believable characters.
