From the Back Cover PLAYHOUSE DAY. Pee-wee's bored because Cowboy Curtis (Laurence Fishburne), Miss Yvonne (Lynne Stewart) and Countess the Cow all have to work and he doesn't have a "thing" (the secret word) to do! But when the King of Cartoons (William Marshall) proclaims a special holiday--"Playhouse Day"--Pee-wee and the Playhouse crew get busy decorating! And when they learn it's an official holiday, Cowboy Curtis, Miss Yvonne and the Countess are able to take the day off! ACCIDENTAL PLAYHOUSE. Mrs. Rene (Suzanne Kent) stops by to give Pee-wee a letter from a faraway "place" (the secret word)! It's from Pee-wee's Japanese pen pal, Oki Doki (Joey Miyashima), who soon appears at the Playhouse door. By introducing Pee-wee to sushi, origami (the art of paper-folding) and Gamara (a huge movie monster), Oki proves that he has a lot to share about his homeland...and that Pee-wee has a lot to learn!
