You'll have a great cup of coffee in the morning, takes no more time.
This Hario Switch Dripper makes an excellent cup of coffee and is less laborious than the drip machine that makes a lot of coffee then burns it (sigh). My awesome drip machine died way too early from it's purchase... not worth it... not taking a chance on that again. Getting rid of the horrible cheap drip machine and Hario's Switch Dripper is it! It works flawlessly, did not cost a small fortune and honestly, I'd rather have 1 or 2 cups of awesome coffee in the AM than the burnt crap that comes from the drip machine or spending $300 plus on something that was not made to last.

Great! Allows variety of processes vice traditional V60
Traditional v60 recipes work great in this with no perceived difference from the plain brewer, and but the real fun is mixing it up with part immersion part percolation hybrid recipes. Great price, nice little beaker/cup to go along with it.

Very versatile good buy.
I used to be a chem ex person until I got tired of my negative experiences with them which includes the product being poorly produced. Since switching to the Hario V60 switch I've enjoyed my experience and versatility including pour over straight into travel mugs, steeping tea, etc. worth the investment for home baristas

The Best Pour Over Coffee Ever
I've been making pour over for the last five years. I was recently trying to design my one valve for the pour over when I found the "Switch" made by Hario. The Hario Switch works flawlessly. The coffee grounds get saturated like a French press but filtered into the cup. Deep rich flavor every time. I have had pour overs in fancy coffee shops in the Bay Area and the switch does it for me at home. Great product!

So much versatility
I’ve been drinking coffee only when I need it to stay awake for the past 20 years. I have had different keurig models, French presses, a commercial bunn, and various regular coffee machines.I actually stumbled upon pour over V60 type filters so decided to try a pour over method for the first time. It literally changed my opinion on coffee…Now I look forward to making it myself using this method made popular from a Japanese competition winner:20 grams water, 60g water at 195F, then 30 seconds later add 60g more water all passing through an open switch. Then change temp of water to 158F and at 1:15 mark, close valve and add reduced temperature water until total water weight is 280 grams. Then at 1:45 mark, release valve and let drain. Hopefully it empties around the 3 minute mark.A huge problem with this is soon after, all coffee I drink moving forward now has a benchmark to compare to. The days when economy hotel coffee tasted just fine are a remnant of a time long past. The first thing that happened to me is I wanted to share this coffee bliss experience with others. Then the issue came up that how am i supposed to make this same coffee for a large group of people?I use this along with a coffee kettle that has a gooseneck spout and a miniature scale that is accurate within 1/10th of a gram and also has a built-in timer.I should mention that I also make Japanese iced coffee with this, and it turns out great. I drink it black as it tastes great without requiring lots of cream and sugar like my old coffee days.

Very good and allows me to use Tetsu Kasuya's 4:6 brewing technique.
Which technique is worthwhile. Give it a try. You can also do more Hoffman's or other V60 brewing as well as immersion brewing a la Clever Dripper. Note that the brewing chamber is heavy glass and the unit is, overll, top-heavy, especially when placed on a lighter vessel. So, be careful not to knock it over as the morning fog lifts, if you see what I mean.Note also that the mechanism controlling the flow is a tad fragile. It doesn't easily break, although I have seen people buying the lever for this online. Instead, it can become disengaged, requiring carefully re-placing it. In the older versions of this brewer, the little stainless steel ball was not secured and could become lost. In the present version, this has been addressed and is not a problem.I had been thinking of getting the Hario Suiren brewer for the aesthetics of it, but this brewer, if less of an art piece, offers actual variances of brewing technique and therefore I opted for this instead. Check out the Suiren here inc case it might be more of your cup of (ahem) tea:https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0D3GR3YZX?smid=A3TCNCNGLOHBSA&psc=1
