Instructions are IMPOSSIBLE!
Instructions are impossible!-P2 shows 2x10s but only single rows on schematic (note that they're 1x9!); then there's a 2x3 with only a 1x2s shown on the schematic.-P3 is even more confusing--2x10 and 1x10 blocks with no differentiation on the schematic. I thouight the smooth appearing blocks were the 1/10 but then looked at P4.-P4 returns to some normalcy for such instructions, distinguishing between button/nonbutton pieces of various sizes/colors, BUT this schematic appears to be all on the same level even though previous steps built up the perimeters and connections at least two blocks high!Sorry, I can't figure it out. Going back!

Cool building block set, but super difficult to make correctly
There are three main parts to this set that make it stand out from a regular lego, the aesthetic, the difficulty of building, and the packaging of the pieces. From the aesthetic point of view, this set is really amazing with plenty of small detail buildings and crosswalk designs along with the Tokyo tower. I really like how it gets a full image of Japan on one plank of building blocks. For the difficulty, it took me forever to finish building it like 3-4 hours because all of the steps in the instruction booklet make you put on like 10-100+ pieces per page. And the color of each piece on the booklet is hard to distinct sometimes so this is definitely only a set for very experienced model kit builders. Something that added to the difficulty of building it was that all the packs of pieces were sorted by color and size, so some packs had white parts but others had the large ones while the rest had the small ones. It was like sorting through a maze the entire time trying to find which pieces I needed because it’s not sequenced in bags to open like LEGO, it’s just all at once. I personally somewhat enjoyed this set because of how satisfying it was to challenge myself in building this and how really aesthetically nice it looks, but honestly I wouldn’t recommend it for most of my friends or family just because of how precision and organized you have to be in order to finish building it.

It was really fun!
It was really fun! I can't recommend it enough. It looked much more complicated than the original, and it took me a long time to piece it together. It's just my first time, and it's a lot more fun than I thought it would be.

Wow - terrible instructions
These were probably some of the worst instructions for assembly I have ever seen. The blocks themselves are fine but instructions TERRIBLE. Good luck having a younger kid put this together. Better off just looking at the picture on the box and hoping for the best.

Not great - poor instructions
I have built dozens and dozens of micro building kits. Most of them are pretty good. You just have to get used to the building style. This set is not great. The instructions are terrible. Some pages show the studs. Others do not. Some places have the numbers of studs off from the bricks for that set compared to the actual instruction for the same bricks. Usually micro bricks sets show some level of layering. This one does not.I really did not enjoy putting this set together. It quickly became more of a task than something I did for fun.

Cool microblock set!
As made clear in the description, these are micro-size blocks, not "LEGO-size". It does require a bit of dexterity (and patience) to put this together. You also have to be able to follow the instructions well enough to realize that at the beginning you have to put some pieces under the baseplates to hold them together. It made for an interesting build because of the variety of structures that you put on the base. It was an especially nice touch having Mt. Fuji in the background! The only complaint I have is in putting together the cherry blossom trees. The "blossoms" aren't the pieces that are show in the instructions and have to be broken apart. They only stay on the "branches" via gravity and friction and it's very difficult to get the two tree branch pieces and six blossoms together and attached to the base. (Interestingly, the pictures in the item description avoid this by only putting together half of each tree.) This was one of the more frustrating experiences I've had in the 20 or so microblock sets I've put together. But, it's a very cool set and don't let that stop you from buying it, just be aware that the finishing touch might be annoying.
