Perfect Canister Vacuum Cleaner
Perfect Canister Vacuum Cleaner purchased thru Amazon.com in Oct. 2011. While it had great suction, too many things went bad on it. August 2012 the cord rewind quit working. In September 2012 the cheap plastic that held the bag door broke. The blower door has never stayed closed. Now in August 2013 vacuum now will not turn on. Very dissapointed as last electrolux lasted 19 years. I have lost confidence in Electrolux.

I should have read the reviews
I have this vacuum and I was excited to get it at first. It does a good job, but as a professional cleaning service, I end up using other vacuums because the beater bar attachment is too light to pick up dirt. It works great on shaggy carpets, but if you have tightly woven carpets you'll be disappointed as it is not heavy enough to get deep into the carpets.

Pleased with purchased
Had owned a electrolux for 20 years, it finally conked out. Thought I would take a chance on the Perfect since the description of the product was linked to the Electrolux. It is very compatible to my old Electrolux. The suction is excellent.I use this vac every day being that I have 4 dogs and 3 cats. Have had the Perfect since Nov.2010 and have been very pleased with it.

This cleaner does an excellent job, period.
We have had our vacuum for three years. It is used for a full 3800 sq. ft. house cleaning once a week, and multiple more times during the week in the main living and entrance areas. This vacuum cleaner does a wonderful job. We average a bag change each 12-15 days and it is always packed completely full. It cleans up that much dirt and debris ongoing. The vacuum is easy to use and has the right attachment assortment for all the jobs we need to do with a vacuum cleaner. It is a true work horse and does and excellent job vacuuming - thats all it needs to do. The biggest selling point for us is the filtration. We suffer from allergies, and one child has asthma. We can use this machine without allergy and breathing issues. The bags are the only filtration, but they are hepa rated and they do work. I think sometimes the hepa filtration is blown out of proportion with multiple filters, cleaning and changing them. This is simple - old hepa cloth filter bag out and new hepa filter bag in. Thats all and it works. I dont understand all the negative reviews. Our vacuum works very well and super easy to maintain. We have recommended it to family and friends. Its a powerful tool and is heavy duty in build. In fact we have had people purchase one after seeing or using ours while in our home.

Highway robbery
What they charge for this machine is highway robbery.*The thing is awkward to maneuver.*The hose gets twisted up in itself.*The cord is unfairly short. (20ft).*The cord wind is very annoying (accidentally go too far, and it starts feeding back into itself).*The handle on the top of the wand is bulky and uncomfortable.*Bag lid/opening is awkward.*Carrying handle on canister is very awkward and not ergonomic, at all.*The canister is too long but for some reason the cord wind was priority over the overall size…In general, I am not a fan of using a canister for carpets- I would always recommend an upright, but I got this to use on non-carpeted flooring. What drew me in was it has the lowest decibels (besides Miele, which I’ve used and hated as well) &, also, it was supposed to be light weight. It’s not really.Theres only 2 good things about this overpriced, strangely engineered vacuum:#1. the giant on/off switch, which is on top of machine.#2. Good suctionNot worth the price. Going to list it on eBay. Wish I had a recommendation but don’t. Miele’s are pretty quiet but they are over engineered and the bags all have plastic on them & and are synthetic. What’s wrong with paper bags? There’s already 2 additional filters….

Underpowered, overpriced, poor build quality
This vacuum is intended to be a clone of various 1980s-era Electrolux canisters. By looks and design, it is fairly close - it even takes the same bags. However, the build quality is nowhere near the same. An 80s Electrolux is probably still running today. In 30 years, this won't be. It is not worth the asking price. For $200, it might be worth considering. However - even at that price point, it would only be mediocre. While it manages over 70 inches of water lift, its airflow is poor - managing only a 1.5 on a Baird meter at the end of the hose. The power nozzle is also substandard. My recommendation - skip this. If you want a vacuum that will last for $900, get a Simplicity, Riccar, Miele or Sebo. For less money, you might look at either the Metropolitan canister, or the Panasonic MC-CG917 or MC-CG902. Any of these are far better than the (im)Perfect.
