Overall, my favorite slip/slide slipper - but insole & footbed only lasts so long w/out repairs
I bought these in late Jan 2021 for $80 - and while I don't expect anything to last forever - I'm a little disappointed that the interior heel has already worn out (many months ago) and I had to re-glue the sole to the foot-bed. However, as someone who works from home, I do wear these A LOT. Most of the exterior soles are still in great shape, as are the rest of the slipper ie: (most) interior and most all of the exterior too - so that's why I give these 4 solid stars. I like them so much I don't even want to try and replace them anytime soon...

Emu Jolie Slippers
Love love love these! They arrived ahead of schedule. The slippers are extremely comfortable, I don't want to take them off. The part that covers your foot is suede and the lining is thick sheepskin, it's very soft and fluffy. The tops don't come up all the way to the ankle, but I don't mind. I think it's a style to make your shoe/foot look a little smaller maybe? The thick sheepskin makes them feel snug and warm. Despite not coming up to the ankle all the way, they are secure on the foot, which I was surprised. I am a size 9 and ordered a size 9, once I wear them more the fit will be a little more lose. If you order a size up they might feel roomy, but I'd be willing to guess once they are broken into, they might be a little too lose. I normally can't drive with slip-ons or flip flops, but it was just like wearing shoes with these. They aren't roomy around the toes because of the thick sheepskin but I like a more snug feeling, not uncomfortable though. Also I think they are more narrow then average, but I have narrow long feet, so they are great for me. I have flat feet and have always had problems with shoes having an arch. The sheepskin sort of molds to your foot's shape so these are very nice. The soles are durable and strong, so you can wear them outside! I wouldn't suggest walking through puddles though, the sheepskin on the sides might get wet, but I'm sure they would dry out and be fine. Sheepskin tends to stay fluffy and thick a lot longer then synthetic materials. I have never owned other brands simliar to these, like Bearclaw or Uggs, so I can't compare them, but these are very comfortable and well made and for a lot less then the bigger brand names. For those people that are really particular about the craftsmanship of things: I did have a random string hanging off the edge, not a big deal to me, but I know some would be upset. I just snipped it off. There are bits of sheepskin that didn't make it into the sewing and fell out, again it's small bits and doesn't change the look of the slipper. Anything like this will have that issue at first. On the heel of my right slipper, there is thicker sheepskin on one side then the other, but it doesn't really make a difference comfort wise, only appearance wise. The edging on the EMU logo on the outsides of both slippers have a small bit of uneven extra suede above the stitching, but the thick sheepskin covers it. These are also claimed to be from Australia, or the sheepskin is, but the tag on the inside says "Made in China".All in all, I love these, they are very comfortable. I would recommend them to anyone and in fact plan to buy a pair for my mother and sister. Can't beat the great price I paid, which was $38 and some change, including shipping. Hope this review helps. :)

Love!
I was looking for a slipper for my somewhat thin foot and these are perfect! To me, they fit true to size. The slippers are flat, meaning no arch support, but they're super cute and cozy. I'm glad I gave the EMU brand a try and I'm already looking for my next pair!

These Slippers are No Longer Good Quality and I Don't Recommend Them
About ten years ago, I purchased my first pair of Emu women's Jolie slippers, an older version of these slippers. I loved them so much and wore them all the time after work and on the weekends. This year when I discovered that I had worn the soles out enough that they hurt my feet, I decided it was time to purchase a new pair to be used while I'm inside and my old pair would be used for going outside to get the mail and take care of the garbage. Besides researching these slippers, I also looked at some other brands, both less and more expensive. I decided to purchase the same slippers I already had in hopes that they would be the same quality as my other ones. When these first arrived, I tried them on to make sure they fit the same and they do. I typically wear a size 7 in most shoes so I opted for a 6 in these and they fit just right. My old pair are also a size 6 so I was happy to see that the sizing had stayed the same. When I first put them on, the toe box was very snug but wearing them pretty much all day for a couple days broke them in and they were fairly comfortable after that. I purchased the chocolate color and they are a nice dark brown but not quite like the picture. The picture shows brown slippers with cream-colored faux fur on the tops and mine are all brown. That doesn't bother me too much but I would've preferred the two different colors. These slippers are made in China with sheepskin lining, suede upper and TPR sole. The size 6 measures about 10 1/4 inches long and about 4 inches wide at the maximum in the toe box. The soles are a little over 1/2 inch tall. If you wear these slippers with no socks, the tops and heels of your feet may get cold since they aren't completely covered but I usually wear them with socks.I've only had these slippers for a little over a month and the lining is already wearing off on the insides which I am extremely disappointed in after paying a decent amount of money for them. Even the lining in my old pair is still in good shape. I also don't have particularly smelly feet other than the average foot odors but the lining in these slippers smells pretty bad. I smelled my old pair which I have used with both socks and bare feet and they don't even smell that bad.In summary, I am very disappointed with the decline in quality of these slippers. If the soles in my old slippers hadn't worn out, I would still wear those all the time but even those are in better shape than my new pair. The only reason I gave these two stars instead of one is because they keep my little toes warm which is definitely needed with winter coming. Other than that, the quality of these slippers is very poor compared to older versions and they are definitely more cheaply made. I will continue to wear these just because I have them and they work for now but I will not be buying Emu slippers anymore. I haven't decided what kind I will buy to replace them but I will most likely purchase more expensive slippers that will last since I wear them for at least six months out of the year. I have included pictures of both my old and new slippers so you can see the difference. My old pair are the chestnut ones and the new ones are the chocolate color. For the reasons I have stated in this review, I do not recommend buying these slippers. I don't feel the cost is worth slippers that aren't going to last and I'm sad that the quality has gone downhill. If the return window hadn't closed just a few days ago, I would return them. It would be nice if they would bring the good-quality slippers back because then I would purchase Emu products again.
