I purchased this bottle for an unusual purpose. This bottle presents as elegant & stylish. I needed a respectful vessel to hold the sacred remains of my father to protect & prepare for the Inurnment Memorial Service.I felt very good about this purchase especially since it was airtight & leakproof.It worked perfectly for my intended purposes & even some of the folks who "attended" via video feed gave awesome feedback about this copper vessel.Overall, this copper vessel added the perfect cross between the practical & sacred elegance needed for my father's service last week.

i read about the benefits of copper and was happy to try this water bottle! it's very pretty and no too heavy and the water always tastes fresh.

If presentation and looks alone were the criteria for judging this water bottle this would get 5 stars without question. The bottle is shipped inside a presentation box with fine tissue paper. It looks as if you're opening a fine bottle of wine or champagne. The bottle itself looks pleasingly antiquish.So why the three stars? My wife cut her finger on the lid. When I first opened and examined the bottle I could see that the cap edges felt a bit rough. It was definitely not the feeling you'd get from stainless steel. It felt unfinished. But I moved on and ignored it. After about a week's use my wife told me she cut her finger on the cap. It wasn't a bad cut - small actually. But It definitely gave me pause as to the safety of the bottle. We have kids in the house and I don't think we're going to let them use this bottle. Not freaking out nor suggesting this item is inherently unsafe.Overall, like many products I see witch stupendous packaging and presentation, I wish they had focused on the product itself instead of selling an image or lifestyle.I don't really care to comment on the copper itself. I've read conflicting evidence about how beneficial it is to use a bottle like this. You do need the water to sit for at least 6 hours (and probably longer) to get any copper in the water. I have read that copper acts as an anti-bacterial so there is that regardless of the dietary concerns. And I did read that these bottles are safe because so little copper is actually absorbed by the water.As for taste, I did not notice anything unpleasant. It was fine. Your mileage may vary depending on your sense of taste.I try to give a definite thumbs up or down with products, but on this one I'm on the fence. Looks nice, does the job . . . but that lid. So just buyer beware.
