Speckled trout love it. Paddletail is super flexible, slow roll it with a steady retrieve and you still get incredible action where others need a lot of speed or rod action for the tail to have any action.

Fishing on my son's boat for bass and pickerel worked very well

Good action, and caught some fish (smallmouth bass fishing), but the bait spins quite easily, twisting the line quite a lot. Mostly fished it nose-hooked with a small drop shot hook. This problem probably be somewhat controlled in various ways like using certain weighted hooks, like a jig head, or perhaps a Texas-style hook with weight on the shank.Edit: Changed from 3 to 4 stars as they work well, and the line twist issue is the only issue.

Great for trout and blue fish and sea bass. Swims great, and recommend this product for fishing. Catches alot of fish.
