I am an avid D&D player and when my character killed a red dragon and had a journal made from it's skin, I went looking for an actual journal to record her adventures in. I was very picky about how I wanted it to look, a lot of hand made journals have that loose binding that I find very unattractive. I had high hopes for this journal when I bought it, and it did not disappoint! It helps me remember the details of her adventures and my DM has taken to stealing it between sessions to read the latest entries.My one regret is despite the number of pages, I'm already over half way through and our campaign isn't close to finishing, I know I'll run out of room and I would prefer the journals to look similar in style. She's since killed a blue dragon and a white dragon, if the makers of this journal ever make one similar to this in blue or white leather I will be first in line to buy it!

The book itself is decent. For casual sketches, this may be what you want, but while using pen, it seemed difficult to write on the paper. The pages also smelled weird and were marked up, which i’m guessing was on purpose to give it an older look. The book is good, just not exactly what I was looking for.

Beautiful antique looking journal. It was bulky and not practical for a long trip. The paper was beautifully crafted and would have make a nice desk item suitable for writing poetry or thoughts or gardening ideas.

While it is leather and appears to be handmade, it was reeeeally stiff and I thought it would break at the glue binding when I opened it. (Disclaimer: I bought this as a gift. I don't know if it loosen up over time, I just know how it felt brand new.)

It seems a little fragile, but Is durable. It’s like a book out of Skyrim.

This is a beautiful journal. My son received this for Christmas from his sister and was very impressed with it. Everyone commented on how beautiful it was. If I ever need a journal, I will definitely buy this one!

Somewhat hard to unbuckle, but can be good for prying hands

Bought as a gift, it is very nice. Only complaint was trying to unbuckle it, was nearly impossible and was afraid it was going to be damaged trying to open it.
