McDormand is the female Tom Hanks.They can disappear in any roll and become the character.

This is a docudrama that's at once warm and engaging, and cold and isolated. I own (and watch fairly regularly) every Best Picture Oscar® winner. There are a few that stand out mostly by standing apart. "Nomadland" is one of the those.In film, being different usually doesn't translate into being great. But in this case, Frances MacDormand dutifully guides us where the story goes, and when we get there, we're really glad we went. Yet, very few of us would want to tag along in real life.Is being content pretty much the same as being happy? "Nomadland" doesn't pause long enough to give that question fair consideration. Maybe that's the way it really is.

I'd been led to expect a finger-wagging solemn lecture on poverty and the economy, and instead I saw a fine and moving film, more of a character study than anything else. Admirable in every way.

Not as bad a pick for Oscar as the" Shape of Water " but nearly so. Boring in parts , I don't care what the nomads give away to fellow nomads. The only redemption this movie shows the inner workings of an Amazon factory . Although the sights Of the Western skies are beautiful , all i have to do this is to open my front door to see this .I loved Frances Mcdermand in " Fargo " and " 3 signs " but in this one she is a troubled loner who in my opinion should rent an apartment . I was waiting for her vehicle to fail and fail it did to the tune of 2600 dollars. I felt bad for her sister having to lend her the money having done so to my children countless times without ever getting paid back. This movie depressed me

We have watched this twice in the latter part of 2021. Great film. Well done with an interesting story. One of the better films within recent releases. Terrific performances. Sobering story!!! Can not say enough about this terrific film.

movie was not as good as it was rated - my fault for ordering it

I ordered this for someone else. Nowhere in the description did it say it was a used copy or “previously viewed”. It showed up with a cracked case and sticker saying it was previously viewed. First time it’s happened, but still disappointing. The movie itself was fine.

Very long to sit through and kinda boring. I guess the competition for best picture must have been pretty mundane. However, the quality of the bluray is very good.

Great movie but sad commentary on the United States of America. Many western countries treat their old people and poor people better than American politicians do.

Film traîné en longueur. Effleure la vie difficile de ces gens mais la finale est une ratée.
