for any person that want to try or already is a carver this is one of the most informative books needed..not only does it give the best information one needs but the projects in it are a challenge but helps you to design,complete, and further ones imagination and helps you want to continue , and improve your ability..it keeps your mind going and asks oneself what else can I come up with..thank you, very much

I bought this book for a family member for Christmas. He loved it! Very details instructions on how to whittle a number of projects - and mostly all of them at a beginner level. Very nice book!

Good instruction book on "whittling" projects. Better than most in its instruction, pictures, and general identification with the novice carver. Ball and cage may be the most difficult (because the ball is so hard to hold), but I'm on my second. It works!

This had some repeats from other sources but I have found that each carver presents each project differently than others so I pick up different views from each carver. I never feel it's bad money to have some replication. Always ends up a plus whichever way I look at it. I would use the seller again.

Not detailed enough for a beginner carver. He puts just enough to print the book. More interEstes in profit from book than trying to help the reader understand his explanati9ns

I haven't used the book for any carvings yet but I did read through it and I will enjoy using it when I need it.

Has some fun projects, but may be a bit advanced for absolute beginners.

The text is funny and informative, but most importantly this book has good photos. Like most craft books it can feel light on the details, but I've carved for most of my 30 odd years and I'm getting this for a 12 year old. I think it'll work out great. I am going to pre-carve some blocks to about 60%. Good price too.

Interessantissimo e scritto molto bene, belle fotografie , progetti spiegati chiaramente, facile da capire anche per chi non conosce perfettamente l'inglese!!!!!

Il libro è formato da una manciata di pagine ma è scritto bene e corredato di belle foto.I progetti proposti sono tutti interessanti e vale la pena di tentarli.L'autore spiega abbastanza bene come farli ma manca una spiegazione passo passo. Non abbiamo, cioè, foto corredate da una didascalia che spiega cosa si fa nel singolo step. L'idea di fondo, però, sembra più quella di guidare il lettore a scoprire da se i trucchi per fare i vari progetti. Sicuramente, le informazioni contenute sono in grado di permettere a chi legge di fare i primi tentativi e poi di migliorarsi ma sarebbe stato meglio avere qualche pagina in più con le spiegazioni dei passaggi intermedi. Resta il fatto che per quello che costa vale certamente la pena di averlo anche perchè alcuni dei progetti che propone sono veramente belli
