Not as I remember
I've been looking, without success, for a replacement of the old Ginsu knife, the one seen on TV. There are only two imitations on Amazon, this being one of them. It's strange that they market this knife as MIU France, but what you receive is a knife called ETL "The Devil" (As Seen On TV). See picture. The knife has the basic design of the original Ginsu, but it just seems to be missing something the way it cuts. It has super aggressive teeth, but it doesn't slice as well as I remember, especially tomatoes. It cuts them, but it saws rather than slices due to the teeth design.I don't think we'll ever see that As Seen On TV original design again. Even the Ginsu KISO "Original Slicer" is not the same.I'm taking a couple of stars because I just don't think it's worth what they charge for this knife, and the cutting performance isn't as good as I expected. I'm still trying to decide whether to keep it or not. It's not worth $10 in my opinion.

I love this knife
I lost my old one, which I had for over 30 years. I love this knife, and I was so happy that I could find it on Amazon.com.

Looked everywhere for this knife and finally found it. Everyone should have one or more of these. I love, love love it.

Overly stiff.
The handle broke after only a few uses. I was truly disappointed becausea knife like this that I bought 35 years ago had worn to the nub and Ithought I had found a replacement.

inexpensive bread knife
2012 initial: I got this knife for a few bucks; perfect for the backyard and a traveling cake knife. The knife is cheaply made but gets the job done.2014 update: After a couple of trouble-free years I've upgraded my rating from 3 to 4 stars. This is now our go-to bread knife; it works much better than some considerably more expensive bread knives. It cuts bread without having to apply much pressure. On the other hand; I bought this knife for four dollars - I'm not sure I'd spend four or five times that.2019 update: still getting the job done; edge still cuts through most bread loaves with no problem. Best $4 knife I ever bought.

I found it to be ok, however I was expecting the tip to be sharp on the inside edge as well.
