Great family fun
We bought this game to entertain my husband and two boys as we had a great time at a real life Escape Room to celebrate my birthday last year! We played it with our 12 and 10 year old boys and it was load of fun and we loved it. Best hour and a half we’ve spent as a family in ages. An added bonus is that it took the boys away from their devices for a while! The story went that we had to identify and steal a valuable painting by solving the puzzles and at the end there was a code to escape the art exhibition aka our lounge! Some of the puzzles had us scratching our heads but we got there in the end and it was great working together so no one was left out. The clue book and code reader that came in the pack helped us a few times to be fair! When we can socialise again I think it will be fun to give it a go with friends as well. I can recommend this for a fun family night in.

Don't overthink
This was our first DIY escape room so this may not be a fair review as we didn't know what to expect. Confusing to start because we tried to check the contents to make sure we had everything we needed, and thought we were missing pieces because the instructions didn't tell you some pieces are inside an envelope with 'do not open' on it. There was also another bit we got stuck on, caused by using a stock image. But other than that, it gave us good entertainment for an hour. Some clever puzzles that can be worked in any order so it's quite relaxing. I would recommend and will check out the next difficulty level.

Best thing we have played in ages
First proper attempt at an escape room, played with my daughter is right in a few months. She is neuro diverse so I wasn’t sure if this game would be for her but all I can say is wow! We had such fun, she was fully engaged for hours while we played this, we had a break of about 40 mins while I had to take a phone call but straight back to it. It’s the first one we’ve done so took me a little while to get my head round it but seriously we loved this game. Off to buy more now! 5 ⭐️

No real instructions on where to start, also missing items
Was missing an I.D badge, should have been 4. Also had 2 of the same painting cards and 1 missing, unable to tell if this was intentional.Clues easy to work out but no real structure to the game

Just about right for little ones
We played this with our 8,6 and 3 year old. The 3 year old enjoyed the ride. The 8&6 year were engaged, could complete the puzzles, some with suppor others independently. It's not an escape room as such so it took away the doom of being trapped forever. Instead you are solving the puzzles to get a job in the carnival. Fun little add on at the end. Our kids enjoyed it. Something to do on a wet day.

Best for families with young children, too easy for experienced escape room game players
As a fan of tabletop escape room game, I was very excited to pre-order this game. I bought all three games from the series and this is the first one I played. I liked the simple packaging with minimal waste, considering how escape room games can be very wasteful sometimes. It doesn't require you to destroy or write something on items from the game set, so you can play it again and again with other parties.Rather than calling it a 'tabletop escape room game', it would be more suitable to call it as an 'escape room party set'. The package contains posters and puzzle pieces to set up in your room. In that sense, the description of this product is quite accurate - turn your home into a escape room! Therefore, it is up to your creativity to make this game experience more immersive. The puzzles are very simple and easy, even considering that this is the easy level. It took me about 30 minutes to solve all puzzles. Players with some experience with puzzles and tabletop escape room games will want more challenges. That is why I think this one is designed particularly for families with young children so people with little experience in puzzle can also participate. I would recommend this game if someone with children is planning a family game night or a small party. One thing I want to comment about this game is the structure. The start and the end of the game is unclear, so it doesn't really feel like an escape room game but just a bunch of puzzles that are not connected to each other. If I didn't see how many puzzles I should solve on the instruction booklet, I would have been still wondering right now if I finished the game or not. In other words, the closure of the game is not very strong. What if the answers of each puzzle create one 'final code' at the end, and that final code determines if the player succeeded to escape (or in this case, get the job)?Anyway, I think this will be enjoyable for families. I look forward to playing other games too!

Great fun!
I bought this for my daughter's 40th birthday to play at home. It was difficult to start off, but my 7 year old grandson worked out how to start. The pack contains everything you need. Once we got going, it took just over an hour to complete.

Way better than expectations. Really fantastic, have brought all of them
We regularly do escape rooms in person, and have tried some of the board game ones. Wasn't sure what to expect as this one is active- you walk around your room and far exceeded our expectations. We are 4 people and completed it in 60 minutes. Anymore than 6 people and you would struggle for everyone to be included. Don't space the clues out too much but is good to have some space. You can't use the game a second time but for the value and how enjoyable it was would definitely recommend. We have got the rest in the set for Christmas. It's not suitable for children

Decent; worth playing
Ok, I love Exit: The Game, Unlock, Escape Room: The Game, Escape the Room, and Esker. I dislike Deckscape. So, I'm now looking for some other options. This definitely fits the bill. I will buy the rest of the series. What is nice about this one is it is truly designed to be set up in a room. Players can move about the room and put the information together to solve the puzzle. The first part of the puzzle was fantastic and logical. The second part was anti-climatic. I was, like, "is this it"? How do I know if I won the game? So, I read the hints (for the first time) and I had the right answer, but just not in the right order (There is more than one way to solve this puzzle... but it is still essentially the same solution.. just oriented differently.) So, prepare to be disappointed by how the game ends. I mean, come on, they could have said take the middle 3 numbers and look up that answer in the book to read the conclusion.

too easy, not worth the money
The game was too easy and there were only about 6 puzzles to solve, one of which wasn't even needed to get the final answer. Not worth the $22. Should have been under $10.

Directions were not clear and it was impossible to solve without clues.
It was hard to follow and understand what we needed to do to solve the puzzle.

Don’t buy
Puzzles were fun. The problem we had with this game is there is ZERO confirmation that you have finished the game- no conclusion or wrap up or anything. The story line was very weak. Compared to exit games this feels way over priced.
