I bought these to make coasters out of old maps from our past travels. They were great and inexpensive for what I needed. The only reason I gave them 4 stars instead of 5 is that they were so thin that after I applied the Mod Podge over the maps and around the sides of the coasters, the coasters started to curl as the Mod Podge dried. Even after putting heavy books on top of them after they were dry, they are not completely flat. It doesn't really bother me all that much, as it was just a fun project to remember our past travels. I would recommend these for inexpensive crafts, but if you are looking for something that is of higher quality, you would probably want coasters that are thicker than 1/8 inch.

These worked well for my 3 year old daughter. She painted coasters for her family. They might not ever get used! 1/8th inch is THIIN! They were perfect for a gift from a toddler but if I wanted to use them to paint and re-sell, or give to my friends I would want a thicker coaster.

Worked well for making gift sets of coasters (glued felt or drew designs with paint pens). The cork was not as stiff as I was hoping; it's very flexible and soft and 1/8 inch is fairly thin. I'd say it may be better for kid's crafts, etc.

Got these to put under my plants for drainage! They are amazing. They’re big enough for small or medium/large pots. Cork is naturally absorbent and more attractive than saucers IMO.

I used these simple cork circles to make really cute coasters (just mod-podged nice scrapbooking paper onto them) and they worked great. They are thin, but since they are at such a great price they are perfect for crafts (you can afford to mess up). Also, they do come in one size (not the smaller size shown in the photo).

Much bigger than normal, but gives me some good options.

These are very thin and I can't imagine these being thick enough to protect against hot pots but i love them for sitting under my medium planter pots with water holes.
