This is an adorable book that I enjoyed from beginning to end
Impossible! is a fun children’s picture book about a dog who has always longed to travel to see the ocean but from where he lives it would take him days to get there. He loves the ocean so much that he reads about it, collects boats, and being a laundrette he even purchases the new fragrance of washing powder, Ocean Magic, which gives off a scent on the clothes of the ocean airOne day after washing a load of clothes dog realises that there is a crab in his washing basket. The crab is upset and wants to go home. Dog offers to take him but then decides it is too far, it is impossible! Crab though tells dog that it is only impossible if he says it is. Dog decides to be brave and the two set off on their epic journey. The story is so much more than just a dog wanting to see the ocean but being afraid to travel so far, it is about believing in yourself, adventure, and friendship. As the two new friends travel across the country they stop at some amazing locations and enjoy themselves and meet new friends too.The book is a lot of fun and is highly illustrated too. I love the ‘photographs’ of dog and crab on their journey. Children will enjoy following their adventures and it will show them that sometimes you have to be brave and that the rewards can be tremendous. This is an adorable book that I enjoyed from beginning to end. I also loved the ending. Made me very envious, especially when I haven’t seen the sea in over two years!*I received a free copy of this book, which I voluntarily reviewed

Super picture book
Dog is happy enough with his little laundry business but, living in the busiest city, he dreams of visiting the ocean. When he tries out a new kind of washing powder, Ocean Magic, it seems as though the sea might just have got a little bit closer to him. But surely that’s… well… impossible!! The crab who is suddenly whisked away from his sandy home to land in Dog’s laundry basket certainly wishes it was. He is desperate to get back home via bike, post, whatever is available but Dog points out that it’s a very VERY long way to go.There’s really only one thing for it. ROAD TRIP!!Crab is keen and Dog has always wanted to see the sea but surely it can’t be done.‘It’s impossible,’ Dog said sadly.‘It’s only impossible if you say it is,’ replied Crab.Dog agrees and a fabulous journey begins. On the way they make new friends and stumble across more seemingly impossible obstacles that threaten to hinder their way. But the tenacious pair push on, getting ever closer to Crab’s home and Dog’s first ever glimpse of the ocean. This is such a fun story about tackling things head on and looking for solutions. The illustrations are so jolly, full of smiley, happy animal characters that made me what to take a visit to the busiest city myself. Look out for the hidden gems like the disco foxes doing a spot of roof top aerobics or the frog having a little ‘rest’ break!A really super addition to the bookshelf of any picture book fan.

Great lesson, with lots of relatable examples and consequences shown
Quite a serious topic that both shows the serious consequences of thoughtless 'but it's just one' mindsets and gives a warm conclusion that small children will feel relieved at.In his lovely friendly town of Sunnyville, Rhino throws one sweet wrapper in the bushes... I mean, it's only one! But soon everyone else does exactly the same and the results soon pile up, literally. Then 'just' one flower is picked, and 'just' one animal starts playing his own music loudly...Very quickly we see the impact of this kind of thinking. Society degenerating. But fortunately, we also see how small actions in the other direction might have the opposite effect. As the author says at the end, "This story is about thinking of others so that everyone can be happy." Her collaborator adds, "Let's look after this planet we love on - for we have only one!"Great illustrations of the animal-filled town (I like the gorilla in shades!), and a story that is simple enough for pre-schoolers but could also form part of lesson plans in KS1 and KS2. Parents will be able to discuss the issues at bedtime in a very accessible way.Memorable and succinct. For ages 3-8.With thanks to Little Tiger for providing a sample reading copy.

A story to encourage children to reach for their dreams
This is such a brilliant story about being brave enough to reach for your dreams. Even if they seem impossible at first – sometimes all you need is a little nudge from a friend. The illustrations are just perfect – full of the vivid colour of living your dreams and packed with funny details. Keep your eyes peeled for a frog reading the newspaper whilst on the toilet!

Clever and Colourful
Just one bit of litter won't make a difference, will it? One flower picked from a communal flower bed surely won't be noticed? The inhabitants of Sunnyville soon discover 'just one' soon adds up to a whole lot when everyone is doing the same thing. Can they change their ways before their town is ruined forever? This is a clever story that exemplifies the importance of being a good citizen and neighbour, and looking after your local environment so that everyone can enjoy it.It is filled with funny scenarios which hint at much deeper problems. The pages at the back encourage children to think about how they can look after the places where they live.Tony Neal's artwork is always a delight. Sunnyville is full of colour and fun, and we enjoyed looking at all of the little details on the double page spreads.Thank you Little Tiger for sending us a copy to review
