I found this incredibly insightful and relevant for what is happening in today's administrative field. I love the thought process of moving the conversation to a partnership, in addition to the updated competencies. I also enjoyed learning what others are doing in their perspective industries to help elevate their administrative professionals. Relevant advice for admins of any level
Elevate Admin was an enjoyably fast read and contains a wealth of information for administrative professionals at every level of their career. With all the changes to the working world over the last year, this book couldn't have been released at a better time and includes relevant advice for those working remotely.Chrissy Scivicque has practical advice on how to effectively partner with your boss and others you may be supporting, whether they are other admins or executives. I also appreciate that she covers common concerns and complaints but doesn't leave you there among some of the more negative aspects of being a career admin. For those needing a kick in the pants out of a pity party, the final chapter talks about gratitude for our work and career.I’ll leave you with this quote, "Work is important, but it’s not everything. It’s an opportunity, every day, to see what we’re made of—and to maybe even make ourselves a little better in the process."

This applies to any career
It does not matter if you are an administrative professional or not. The rules applies the same. You need a professional compass in order to know where you are going. You need guidelines to check yourself when you are veering off course. No matter what your career is, this book can help you set standards for your career now and going forward. Even if you see what you do for a living as a job, you will quickly learn to appreciate and respect your craft, and invest in the most important person...YOU. And most importantly to call what you do for a living a “career” and not a "job". I highly recommend this book. Its work its weight in gold.

Excellent Read, Truly Read My Mind
I really enjoyed reading this book. So many topics that Chrissy touched on I've thought about in my own role, but the way she eloquently addresses the topics is very resonent, motivating and easy to digest. Wonderful read and I will be sharing with my admin manager and team!

Disappointing
Reads like the author wrote a research paper. Several plugs for the author’s business. Learned nothing new and I feel I wasted my money and time.
