This replaces the exact same case that I was using since the 6s came out.
My old case was pretty worn. It lasted several years and was the exact same model as this one. It had been dropped a couple of times and somehow the leather was cut on one corner. It wasn't too bad but the Apple logo was almost completely gone. Leather tends to wear pretty well and can be cleaned pretty easily. I should point out that I bought the black case. The lighter color cases may be much more difficult to clean and are more prone to getting stained. The case has a small lip that extends past the glass on the front. This is to try and save your screen if it lands directly on its front. I am pretty careful and I have never broken a smart phone (knock on wood) or a screen yet. I wouldn't recommend this to someone who tends to drop their phone frequently. This is a case that will protect the back and sides from scratches and will offer some protection from a fall. Otterbox makes great cases for those who need more protection.Personally, I cannot handle those big heavy cases. I do buy them for my kids and my wife prefers Otterbox Commuter for herself. I have the same case as this for my work phone which is a 6. (not the S but the smaller version) I can stack the two on top of each other and put them in the same pocket. Having two phones is annoying but this thin, light minimalist case is perfect for me.The entire bottom is open so you can still plug in the 3.5mm headphones. (that jack is a big reason I still have this phone) The speakers are not obstructed and the lightning port is fully exposed. I put a new battery in my old iPhone 6s and got this case. I should be good for another year or two.

The necessary evil of case for phone protection
WARNING: DON'T do what I did: cut the button part of the case you won't be able to reach it unless you have long nails.I don't know where to start because I have a love-hate relationship with this case. I've seen people doing and complaining the exact same thing as I am right now and did.The first month after installing it feels INCREDIBLE in your hands, it looks discrete, formal and casual at the same time. After that month by putting it in my pocket (with coins or keychains and ocasional other stuff that you put on your pocket to alleviate your hands when doing something else), taking it out and in constantly led to a very slow wear in upper left corner and eventually the power/stand-by button with constant touch (or blindly looking for it rubbing the case to find the button) led to a complete wear of that part of the case at the point you have to do what you didn't want to in the first place: turn your phone to the side trying to press the stand-by button. After this happened, one day I got tired of this nonsense and cut it with a stiletto where the button is and I assumed that if would alleviate the situation, IT ONLY GOT WORSE! now I have the "pro" that I don't need to look at it because I can feel with my finger a hole there but I MUST HAVE A NAIL TO REACH THE BUTTON! and since I always have short nails as every guy does (I work in kitchen, so, short nails is always a must, hygiene first!) now I leave my phone on and it turn itself off after 30 sec.but there's a HUGE pro of this case: it protects your phone from every bad stuff can happen when it falls or it goes into your pocket (scratches and possibly worse). My friend told me this and I didn't believe him when it told me but now after almost 7 months I took it out to change it for another case and the back and sides of the phone LOOKS PRISTINE NEW! If you're looking for that, go for this case, other than that, buy another one.So unfortunately I cannot recommend this product because first of all, it's expensive and second, you can buy a better quality leather case with a little bit more $ (even less I just saw) that will last you at least one year of usage. Although it is expected that TRUE LEATHER gets better with time and constant usage, not worse, so keep that in mind too!

On first observation, it's perfection
I've had an apple silicon case, no case and an aluminium bumper. For a person who has never dropped a phone, this is a escalation: where has this case been all my life? The feeling in hand is sublime, never felt a case this tactile. It's grippy, while not too trippy, and also extremely form fitted to the 6s plus. Thinnest case I've had, thinner than the silicone, feels great and the look is awesome.Makes it look almost organic, like wood, in the saddle brown color, and I'm sure the leather wearing in over time will make it even better. I've already scratched little drawings into the back with my nail, so it certainly scratches easily. But at first glance, this is the case I should've had all along.I'll update later if anything goes wrong and maybe to post weathering pictures. But if youre not in need of huge protection, get this case. Much better feeling than no case, which I wouldn't think was possible. It'll also be nice to have grip on the winter and I like that this stops it from being a slidey hockey puck on all surfaces. In addition, it's a well known fact but damn apple does packaging like none other. I nearly want apple to put random objects in my life in specially designed boxes just so I can open them. So nice.

Good, but not great.
This is the OEM Product (RED) Leather Case by Apple for the iPhone 6s Plus. Being a first-party accessory, I expected it to fit perfectly and it does do that. However, I was a little disappointed by a few things.First off, for being a leather case there is no smell or scent to it. In addition, while it has the appearance of leather, it almost feels too smooth and not much different from a synthetic silicone case. Finally and this is the biggie, the buttons are covered (but not the ring/silent switch) and they lose most of their tactile feel. Apple must have realized this because on their iPhone 7 Plus Leather case, the buttons are still covered but now have a metal design that retains the tactile feel. The rear camera cutout is lined in black, which prevents ill effects on the flash.Overall though, this case provides a nice look to the iPhone 6s Plus.

Fits the iPhone like a glove, but too expensive for what it is
The case's leather quality is outstanding. Because it's black, oil and dirt from your fingers, as well as nicks and scratches do not show up as prominently as other colors. While I like the product, some people may find much cheaper alternatives elsewhere.
