I bought these for a Disney Cruise on the Disney Wonder and they worked extremely well and will handle a surprising amount of weight for their size. The Cabin door is magnetic on both sides as well as the bathroom doors of the stateroom. The walls are not but there was plenty of space to place these hooks. We used the hooks for hanging extra tote bags, a toiletry bag, lanyards and for drying swimsuits.They grab the surface and don’t let go. I highly recommend this product for cruises or at home.It keeps things tidy and organized and they are very compact for traveling. I odered them at the last minute and they arrived super fast and on time for the cruise.

Great magnet, Super strong I have 12 of them that I use to hold my employees clipboards to their lockers & using several more to hold tools on our toolbox. I have used several other magnets that did slide down and fall. I'm very impressed with the quality of these. Also worth saying is the extra effort this company goes to in showing you how to use this product and asking for your feed back. The user guide is very handy. They also include a felt backing that sticks to the magnet to prevent scratches from forming when you move the hook around. It works great. I was so impressed that I purchased the 44lbs magnet hooks that JAM Products sells, and they are just as awesome. As a consumer you look for products like this that are worth the money you spend on them.

They have a nice big hooks for a bigger opening to hold thicker items, and with a good wrapped angle that still leaves some room to take things on and off with relative ease and yet still have confidence that they will stay in place. Definitely has a stronger magnetic strength compared to a variety of other magnetic products that I've worked with before. It has a smaller base which keeps it easy for storage and doesn't take up a lot of space on the fridge or anywhere. With that being said, it's nice that they do include some information about the hooks in the box once you get it and the seller is also very kind to send you some extra help hints via email. The hooks do come with an extra round and thin fabric discs that you can stick to the base to help prevent damage to your surface or the hook. Not that i've seen or know a lot about the seller's product, but if I had anything to mention as notice, I would recommend making the base more in the shape of a light bulb or rhombus diamond to increase and better support the hook's magnetic power when using on a vertical / perpendicular surface compared to the hook, to redirect the pressure and keep the hook from being more likely to fall off. Other than that, it's best used or has the best pulling power when used upside down or direct pull away from the hook. Overall, I am very pleased with this purchase and would recommend it to anyone :-).

These work well on some ships but not others, but that is not due to the hooks. It seems some cabin walls on some ships are not magnetic. I originally thought the hooks were faulty until I tried them again on our last cruise. They worked like a charm!

Finally, a sturdy and sufficiently strong magnet with a hook that is actually useful for mugs! I must have ordered at least 6 sets of different manufacturers’ hook magnets, hoping that the hooks would accommodate cup handles, and although some came close, they never really allowed the cup handles to seat properly.Upon receipt of these hooks, I immediately started my horizontal/vertical strength testing, as I have been (well, let’s just say, “mislead” about the weight that certain magnets would hold), and I am pleased to say that these perform as described. The horizontal position does not allow the magnet to slide down, even holding my heaviest mug; the vertical, as usual, is even stronger. I also noted that the magnets, themselves, are not needlessly wide or bulky, which is not the case for other brands, including some that have much less holding power. I don’t know why it took so long for someone to decide to offer larger hooks on these magnets, but I am delighted that they did. I was so pleased with the magnets that I have ordered another set.

We used these on an eight-day cruise. They stick to the walls, ceilings, etc. because almost everything is metal on the ship.We used three to hold up an over-the-door shoe organizer on a wall. These are great for putting bottles like shampoo, brushes, anything really, and save bathroom space in the tiny ship's bathrooms. We also hung other things throughout the stateroom on the remaining ones. I'm not sure if we needed all three to hold the organizer. It never slipped. It just felt right to use three.They come with nice little felt pads to avoid scratching the attaching surface. The pads are thin so you don't lose much magnetism (holding strength) through them. We used them with no problems at all. They are loose in the box when you receive these, which is nice if you don't want to use them.

The pictures show these magnets holding things on cruise walls... They are not strong enough!It took 4 of these to hold up a small chart paper pad on my classroom wall. NI'm disappointed. I was hoping 2 would do the trick.

I have given 5 stars but I have not really tried them yet. They were bought for use on Cruise ships where they can be used in the preferred vertical plane. Initial tests, in the horizontal plane, show that that will do the job.Update: They worked very well hanging from the ceiling.

Don't let the size of these little magnetic hooks fool you, they are strong. I like that fabric stickers were included to cover the metal/magnetic section so as not to scratch the surface they're attached to as well. The hooks themselves aren't very big (about 3.5cm high x 1.7cm wide), but I bought them to hold smaller items, so they're fine for my use. Used horizontally, the hook easily held my 1kg frying pan.

Hooks so easy to use. Have already ordered another set.
