I changed all my footwear to the minimalist barefoot design.This one is more of a "sock" than a shoe. The advantage is that I feel the grooves on the ground, which I found interesting as opposed to shoes. Your taste may differ, but I use this to immerse myself in the walk or at the gym. It will look weird, however, when used normally in public places because it will look like you forgot to put your shoes on and just went with your socks :)Overall I would have given it a 5-star review, BUT I ordered the same thing for my wife, and there was an issue: the sizes offered are not comprehensive:- 38/39 was too big for my wife- 36/37 was too smallI was lucky with mine, which fit well, but unfortunately, my wife couldn't use them.I would advise the makers to add more sizes in between. Lumping them like this won't work for many people, and they'll lose a lot of customers and cause unnecessary returns.

Need to buy a few more pairs

Its just like a sock with a sole added, is not as comfortable as we expected, I don't we can trekking in it , as stones can still hurt you , as the sole is soft. It's comfortable on flat surfaces.

I had really high hopes for this product. The fit and feel definitely did not disappoint. However, for the price and the additional $18.00 in customs, I was expecting it to be more durable. Unfortunately, the material on the sole of the shoe has been falling off. I should mention, I have not even worn them for longer than 5 mins outdoors.

I keep these in my bike bag in case I have issues and need to walk. I purchased these back last August and nearly forgot about them. Until last weekend when I had two flat tires. I removed my biking shoes, slipped these on and walked 2 miles on blacktop. They performed well, in that they protected my feet and didn't fall apart. I hand washed them, set them to dry, then rolled them up and back in my bike pack they went. I'd highly recommend these for the purpose I just described. I wouldn't recommend them as a replacement for shoes as they simply have no support whatsoever and you'll feel every bump and rock you step on.

Really wanted to love these... I do like them, but let me share my thoughts.The Good:1. They're really nice for hiking/walking on certain terrain. Gives you a nice barefoot feeling and decent protection from stabby tree-roots and rocks.2. They are very easy to use in the water. Water drains out of them pretty well, so you can plunge in and out easily and they're easy to swim with. They are reasonably comfortable to wear when wet as well.3. They seem pretty durable. I've had them a few years... don't use them too often, but they're holding up well.The Bad.1. Sand tends to work its way into them pretty easily. They're a little difficult to turn inside out to clean, so it's a bit annoying... but not the end of the world.2. They're a little heavier than expected. A light pair of flip flops would actually be more lightweight.3. They take quite a while to dry. I use them for my canoe trips, where I'm hopping in and out of the water. They didn't dry completely between days.4. Mine got a bit of a smell after walking through some boggy areas... had to put them through the wash to get the smell out.... and even still, they have a weird odor to them... kinda like a chemical-rubber type smell.I love the idea of these. And in certain situations, they're awesome... I find myself reaching for a pair of flip flops or light shoes in most situations instead of these though.

Okay, first of all, this product is great for its intended purpose. Very comfortable, with great foot protection for simulated barefoot hiking. That said, as many have noted, the sizing is way off. I wear a women's size 10 to 10.5, so I bought a Medium, which is supposed to fit 9.5-10.5. They were so long, my husband could wear them (like 2" too long). I returned and got a Small - which is just barely long enough (like toes right up against the end). So the difference between M and S is more like it should be between L and S. About returns - be forewarned! Even though the product ships from the US and arrives in a just a few days, you have to mail it back to the Czech Republic for returns!! YOU have to prepay for the return, and then supposedly they'll reimburse the $24.50 shipping cost. We shall see. . .
