Bought this for my outside light by my front door porch / canopy. I wanted something discrete as I don't like the look of PIR's. It's easy to instal and a good choice on the settings.Works like a treat so far and the price point is great

The media could not be loaded.  Excellent mini PIR sensor. Initially bought one for the lights in our landing but after I had it for a few days decided to get one more for our porch. Now the lights turn on when it detects motion which is very convenient when coming home at night. It works great from a short or long distance, less than e second delay.It is very small so hard to notice, it require a 16mm cut out hole for a nice and secure fit. Easy to wire also.The instructions are not super clear if you are not familiar with the wiring so here it is:Brown - permanent live; Blue - neutral & Red - switched live (going to the lights)

Bought these to add functionality to an existing set of 3 outdoor lights.Initially purchased just one unit to check actual performance. The wiring diagram was a little unclear but I figured it out OK. Also found that the units were near impossible to check in daylight (even using the recommended switch settings) but worked much better once twightlight/darkness set in.Then purchased 2 more units (as a pair) to complete upgrade on remaining lights. However these units behaved differently to each other, and the first unit, in terms of twighight sensitivity, range sensitivity and timing duration.Now one of the units has gone faulty (randomly coming on during daytime) after only 6 weeks in service so must be replaced.Thankfully Amazon have approved refund despite product being 2 weeks beyond returns window.Overall, I cannot entirely recommend the product, certainly for oudoor/daylight use in any case.

I bought these to replace/fix my outside security Lantern PIR detectors, that had all gone faulty. There are no replacements to be had for the original ones, so fitted these inside the housing, and are working a treat so far.

I tried to use this on a timed circuit - though it is no use in an environment without 24/7 power.I was perhaps expecting too much of a £10 PIR, though I was hoping this would have no discernable warm-up - that is to say the Unit once powered, would not power the circuit until it starts detecting motion.Sadly this is not the case - once the PIR receives power it briefly switches the circuit on/off, and then on again for 30-60 seconds, before entering into PIR mode. This is clearly stated in the manual but nowhere in the sales material.The timer is also not quite as stated - I'd estimate there is an extra 5 seconds added to each setting so a 5 second setting becomes 10 seconds, etc.Pity as it is a neat unit - though the warm up process renders it useless for some applications.

I used these with LED strips to illuminate inside our wardrobes.I use WAGO connectors - makes it much easier to wire up, and this then switches 240v to the LED transformer. The PIR detector is very small but be warned will detect through the smallest gap so if using in a wardrobe put the sensor off to one side in front of the door you are most likely to open first. I used a self adhesive cable mount and tie wrap to test positions.
