A nice interlude with music background while sharing his life's story.
Yo Yo Ma is one of my favorite musical performer; I am pleased and delighted that I downloaded this audio narration of an outline of his life, interspersed with cello playing appropriate during his talk. Now I know a little bit of his life, and appreciate his willingness to share it with his audience. When I see/hear him again performing, I have a memory of why he is such a sweet and humble person, besides his musical talent that touches the heart of this listener.

A beautiful new medium - at least new to me.
Part autobiography, part, exploration of core values, part performance, this is an intimate "visit" with one of the most inspiring human beings in our culture today. Yo Yo Ma quotes Pablo Casals, his childhood mentor: It is essential to be a human being first, a musician second, and a cellist third. This video book reveals Yo Yo Ma's embodiment of that wisdom.

A Wonder to Behold!
I can't stop listening to Ma's Beginner's Mind! Yo Yo Ma shares with the listener how he's become who he is and his evolution as a musician, a humanist, and a changer of the world. His style is thoughtful and warm. His story telling is engaging and mixed with his music. What a generous spirit.
