It Really Does Increase Helmet Comfort
Last year I started wearing full-face helmets again while on my motorcycle and having a lightweight, wick-away balaclava in between my head and the helmet's interior makes for a much more comfortable ride. It also makes putting the helmet on much easier as my ears don't get folded down or put into an uncomfortable spot, and adjusting the helmet is easier overall. This balaclava does feel initially as if it will be too tight but it stretches nicely and is very comfortable all day, and it feels as though the helmet's ventilation works better, allowing the rider to feel the cooling airflow through the helmet. I wear an HJC RPHA 70 ST and even on the hottest days it stays cool inside with the help of this balaclava.Another major advantage? The helmet interior seems far less likely to start to stink. Even after numerous all-day rides, the helmet still smells like new inside. That said, I do have to include the part about how these balaclavas stank when I opened the plastic bags into which they were packaged. My living room smelled as though a large quantity of fuel oil had been spilled. The smell was so strong it induced a headache and I felt nauseated. I had to hang both balaclavas outside for three days just to get the smell at a point where I felt I could run the balaclavas through the wash. I was concerned that if I had put them through the wash immediately they would have made everything else in the washer stink, too. With hope it was just fluke with my order but who knows?Other than that, I do recommend this balaclava for rides in warmer temps as it should make the ride more comfortable and enjoyable.

Fantastic even in hot weather.
I love this thing. We have constant construction around Houston so every time the wind blows you get sand blasted by dust/debris. This thing is not only great for saving my neck from debris but also sunburn. It was 98 degrees yesterday on the way home with a heat index around 105 and I can't say that this made it any more miserable. One of the main reasons I bought a balaclava was to help fill some of the gaps in my helmet. I have an oddly shaped head and Arai no longer sells the one lid that ever fit me properly. My new Shoie GT Air is a great helmet but isn't a great fit. This balaclava is just thick enough to resolve my fit issues and relieve some hot spots without adding unnecessary bulk/heat. It should be noted that this is not wind/water proof but it still reduces wind noise slightly over no balaclava.I'm extremely please and will be looking for a similar Alpinestars winter balaclava when my current one bites the dust.

Awesome
I got this thing and instantly said uhoh... it seemed too thin. Then I wore it and realized I underestimated how effective it would be. I've been riding in just above freezing temps and it works great!

good quality, comfortable
I bought this balaclava to wear under my helmet when I race. It's well made and the seems are very flat so there's no pressure when my helmet is on. Good value.

It keeps your face/head/neck warm. Fits well!
Great product! I rode my motorcycle to work, wearing this under a full-face helmet, on a 23 degree morning. I was comfortable.

Fitted for Motorcycle
Having tried several nylon, silk, acrylic and cotton balaclavas all with windproof motorcycle in the e title, this one actually is made for riders not just suitable for skiing and hiking etc..The problem with balaclavas for riders is that it needs to be a bit fitted, tapered around the neck and not so stretchy that when you put your helmet on it doesn't pull it half way down your headAlthough the hole is a bit too large and barely covers the nose it's also a bit too small to have the nose and mouth exposed. Well for me anyway. Otherwise it fits well for motorcycle helmets, doesn't snag to the helmet lining, thin enough to not stop blood circulation and is wind proof.

Perfect
First time of wearing such a product and wish I'd had one before. Very well made as you'd expect from Alpine Stars, I was worried it was too thin but after using on my ride to work it went under my Shoei helmet nicely, helped reduce noise and kept my head warm and the cold out. I ride a 99 R1 and in either crouched or upright positions it felt really good

Very synthetic material. Not stretchy.
The balaclava is not very pleasant to wear. It feels synthetic and does not absorb any sweat so it feels hot.If you have bigger head it may feel too tight.

Great bit of kit for keeping your head warm on the winter rides.
Good wind reduction and certainly keeps my head warm in the winter chill, only downside is the elasticated rim around the face opening can get a little tight and intrude into the peripheral vision line at times.

That's fine
Is fine, but after a couple of weeks the fabric broke in different parts, also I received it with a hole.
