This portable playpen is great for puppies and small to medium dogs. It is tricky to fold up and get back into the bag. But, it comes with pictures and directions to make it easier. The pockets that the rods fit into are narrow. That helps it to be sturdy. Other reviewers mentioned the rods are hard to get out. I have not found this to be true. Simply undo the Velcro closures and push down slightly on the top. The rods become exposed and are very easy to remove. I purchased this to be able to take my puppy to work with me. It works beautifully. The construction seems to be good. I did spray the Velcro inside the door with bitter apple to dissuade chewing, she is a baby raptor now while teething. It’s working. The bonus gifts of a bowl and light are nice additions.

I bought this for a kitten and I think it will serve it's purpose really well. The setup was really easy, it looks good and it feels very sturdy. I'm glad I went with this one because it has the support poles. My one and only complaint is taking it apart. When you try to pull the poles out they come apart inside their pouches and for me the little black end caps came off too and get stuck down in the bottom . I understand why the poles come apart, for storage and travel so they can fit back into the bag. I'm not going to be using it for travel and when I pack it up I'll just leave the bag unzipped a little so the poles can poke out the top. I went ahead and super glued the end caps on and I glued the part in the middle where the poles come apart. Hopefully this will make it easier on me the next time I have to take it down. I would suggest at least super gluing the end caps onto the support poles so they don't come off while taking them out and that way you'll save yourself some hassle.

This is a perfect pen for my puppy. Plenty of room for his bed, bowls and toys. He likes being able to look out the net sides to see what is going on.

So well made, easy to set up, and my puppy loves it! I don't even have to ask my dog if he wants to go to his "house." All his toys are in there and he makes sure to bring them back when he is done. "Mike" is kennel trained and knowns when it is "bedtime." This thing is like a fun bounce house, his toy area, and nap area, all wrapped into 1...and it travels well. Great value for the $$ and your pet will love you for it.

I am on my third one as my cat loves this thing so much he wears them out. He is an elderly cat and I am his fourth owner. He was declawed long ago and thus indoor only cat. But. He loves sitting in open windows and fresh air so much but freaked out on a leash. A friend posted a video of her cat in this and I was amazed. Got the link. Bought it. Now on number three. He rolls everywhere in this thing so much so he wears it out. He is old and frail w two chronic conditions but living his best life in this thing. He’s so happy. He sits under trees and watches birds. Sniffs the air. And lately he has CHASED the neighbor cat in it. I looked out and he was FLYING across the lawn chasing a much younger very spry cat. This is the best thing for indoor cats who want some outdoor time and space exercise. In summer in the evening we would put it near the end of the driveway while I worked in the yard. Everyone walking their dogs stopped and chatted w him. Love this item. So worth it. Get one.

I bought both sizes. I have two kittens.My kittens loved to play in, around, and on top BUT the sides collapse and fold in very easily making it useless. These are suited for any type of animal that is stationary.Quality is good for what it is, but in a light wind I can see them collapsing in around the animal. Ie the beach. Indoors ok unless you have cats.The large one (purple) is impossible to fold back into the carrier correctly,
