A Lose Nut
Things to take into consideration. This has 2 12" arms. I have a lamp that has 2, 16" arms. It moves easier and reaches further, allowing that the base can sit at theback of my desk. This mic stand you'll want to sit much closer. Maybe even too close, depending on your set-up. I have mine attached to the front edge of my desk, about 16 inches to my right. The base or table clamp is just that. Some bases have an option to permanently attach (using screws)but this does not. It feels sturdy and the springs are strong and will probably stay that way over time, which is good. Here is where I ran into real problems. I decided to try the shock-mount. The shock-mount is supposed to hold anything from 35 to 52 mm (1 3/8 inches to 2 inches). My mic, a JLAB TALK GO is 2" in diameter and is extremely light weight. I didn't know if the mic or the shock-mount was going to break first when I tried to attach it.After some wrestling, I was able to mount my mic.Next, you have to attach the mic and mount to the steel arm at the end of the stand. What you don't see in the pictures on the Amazon page (which is odd because they pictures from every other angle but the one that displays what is arguably the most important piece of the assembly), is a black plastic wing nut that tightens 2, small, steel clamps to either side of the steel bar. (See pictures) This is what keeps your mic in an upright position (or virtually many other positions) provided it tightens. When I went to tighten it, it just kept spinning around and around. The steel bar would slip through the clamps. After carefully turning it so that it felt even the least bit tight, I would let it go and my mic would immediately drop (or droop?). The piece (or pieces, clamps, - machine screw, washer, plastic wing nut) were absolutely useless and I have no way to attach the mic to the stand. Now, I've only been a semi-professional; musician for 40 years (okay, 41) and as a guitarist and singer, I have used a plethora of stands for miking my voice, guitar, or both, but I am pretty sure that these parts are essential if you actually want to use the mics.I kept trying to make it work, assuming I was doing something wrong. Thats when the wing nut disclosed to me that it was made up of two separate pieces by falling apart. Not breaking. It came apart.(see pictures) The wing nut had a piece in it's center, that popped out like a cap. It was THAT piece that was supposed to catch the very END of the screw as it was only but a small fraction of the screw length. Without it, the wing nut spins like a top on the screw. With it, well, it still spins like a top as it just doesn't catch. On a side note, the clamps for the pop-screen and phone holder, though awkward, did hold. However, they seem almost over-sized compared to the stand itself. The pop-screen I needed. The phone stand was a plus and one I was curious to try since I use my phone to help control and monitor my live stream. The pop-screen and mount is more than enough. Add the phone mount and it really looks quite ridiculous in reality, and not quite as usefully blended as the pictures shown in ad. That said, the two attachments are sturdy, strong, and seemingly good quality. Just like the rest of the stand, with the exception of one lose, plastic nut. One that probably should have had steel or brass lining/insert inside to better secure it, instead of a 1/4 inch plastic cap, fitted into a plastic wing nut, to fasten to just the tip of a 3/4 long machine screw.I will be reaching out to the makers and will edit this when I have received a response or am forced to return it.

Great idea things to improved but negatives outweigh positives
I love all the things they include in the package … I’m not a hater I needed everything but the range of motion isn’t great it doesn’t hold its own weight the clamp to clamp it to a bar or piece of wood or tablet isn’t the strongest and range of motion isn’t great However I love that they included a phone holder and the double layer pop filter #Superdope I just expected a little more also wish the mic holder wasn’t cheap plastic hAvent out my mic in it cause I’m scared it’s gna fall cause it barely holds up it’s own weight and that’s without the phone and mic …. I definitely wouldn’t buy this again n wish I didn’t I want a refund but I’m a just keep it cause I need the phone holder and the mic pop blocker Please work on the range of the whole thing and the tightness of the clamp there’s no screw part for the clamp it just plugs into the stand not sturdy at all

Blue yeti users beware
The media could not be loaded. Yes the blue yeti could work with this mic stand but in maybe a normal way I guess I wanted this to be above me handing over my head so I didn’t have to move it out of my way all the time or even mess with it at all but it just falls down there nothing to tighten to keep the weight up in the direction sadlyThe video shows my problem clearly…You get what you pay for the it’s cheap material but you could make this work I guess

What am I supposed to do with this hunk of junk?
The clamp included was either manufactured incorrectly or they tossed in the completely wrong clamp. The arm doesn't even fit into the incorrectly drilled holes.

Okay boom, could use some better joint tightening mechanisms.
Eh, bonus stuff is nice. But, the main part of this package has the worst tightening in the joints. Hanging a Blue Blackout on this thing took some maneuvering and diligence to not bump my desk to keep hanging the mic where I want it.

Just got it and I love it.
When it got here the pop filter and the phone holder both did not hold very well, but that was because they were warm. They need to be a under a certain temp in order to hold the position you put them in.I am using it with a HyperX Solocast and it functions extremely well so far.
