Fixed My Issues!
I was having issues with lots of digital artifacts in my TV picture on several channels. A big part of the problem, is that I have 2 different transmitter locations in my area, that are separated by about 30 - 35°. If I pointed my antenna at 1 of the locations, I would get a clear signal on that half of the channels, and vice versa. I installed this amplifier in my distribution closet just before my splitter, which is about 70-80' of coax (RG-6 quad) from my antenna. I rotated my antenna to approximately half way between the 2 transmitter locations, and now all of my channels come in super clear with no digital artifacts. I have a Tivo Bolt, which has a signal meter built into the unit, and was able to fine tune my antenna direction using this meter. Also, based on the Bolt's signal meter, on average I gained 30 - 50% increase in signal strength on every channel.

Doesn't Work
Guess this is not what I need for my TV signal. Previously, I had purchased Channel Master preamp, and it works great. I went to order a second Channel Master preamp, but they were out of stock, so I bought this instead, which was a mistake. Channels that are absolutely perfect with the Channel Master are constantly blipping in/out, freezing, and have major audio issues. But this product doesn't say "preamplifier," so it maybe I just bought the wrong item for the job, which is why I gave it three stars instead of one.

With digital TV you sometimes need a signal amplifier to get the over the air broadcast signal 100% of the time!
With digital TV you sometimes will find your TV signal freezing up from time to time. This is probably due to your home location not always getting a good signal from the over the air TV broadcaster. If your TV signal "fades" than getting this Eagle signal amplifier should help. It is a high gain amplifier that works for TV and can also be used for FM broadcast. It should be located as close to the TV antenna as possible. I recommend it be placed after the outdoor cable enters your home and is protected from the outside weather. Another solution would be to replace your outside antenna but that is another review.

Does work but maybe for those with super weak signals.
This amplifier was easy to use and install. The directions were great and it was delivered pretty quickly. That said I connected it behind my tv with a coax leading from splitter in the basement and another coax from the amplifier to tv. It did not pick up any channels I then took it in the basement and installed it between the antenna coax and the splitter. This time I did pick up channels buy amount of channels and signal strength was no different than a cheaper RCA ( white one) amplifier I was using. Maybe for some this amplifier is like a glass of water in the desert. But for me, I guess I did not need to spend $10 more plus shipping over the RCA I already had.

Nice little preamp.
Pretty decent preamplifier, not too bad on noise insertion. I usef6 this just prior to a splitter to distribute it's tv antenna signal to other rooms of the house. This unit operates on 12 volts, so it could be useful on a rv or any other 12 volt based application.
