If you are good with a rattle can, this is great paint. It dries crystal clear and hardens better than the normal stuff. I used it to try to restore some mangled headlights and after trying several products this is my favorite so far.Reviewers that have cracking and chipping likely painted this over another previously applied paint with an incompatible chemistry. I've seen that before such as applying a clear lacquer over something else, like an acrylic.This paint goes on thin and wet. It will run easily. I found that applying "almost enough", which looked textured, smoothed out quickly to a glass finish, for the first coat. Second coat is a little more tricky as it tacks quicker and doesn't smooth, so for me it had to by slightly heavier. In hindsight, two light coats a couple days apart might have been better. Regardless, it's clear as glass once it dries. I don't know yet if it will haze up in sunlight over time. We'll find out- it can't be any worse than the other brands that yellowed up in a year. Anyway, practice first for best results.
