Works great.
I only used it a couple of times. It was on thin tempered metal and it worked great.

worth the cost
This tool is ideal for drilling/tapping holes in softer metals, less than 1/2" thick. I've done about 100 holes in 1/2" aluminum, and no visible wear at all. I think it would work in steel too, but maybe not 1/2" thick. And you'd probably need a lot of oil!.

weak and broke on 2nd use
ground so thin it would not chase threads more than twice. second use and done. money wasted, time lost.back to drilling then tapping

Broke the first time I used it.
Carefully holding drill square to the 3/16 flatbar I was putting a threaded hole it I bored the hole & then sunk the threads into the hole to create the threads. Once the tap was nearly bottomed out I reveresed it & before the tap got out of threads it broke. Didnt even get it out of the flatbar ONE time before it broke! :)

This combination drill and tap was amazing. Drilled and tapped last hole as good as the first. Saved me a lot of time.

For the cost this drill bit/tapd ne great. I drilled out 10 lug nut holes and may do another 10 worked great.

Inferior metal compared to better brands.
This is a decent drill tap for perhaps aluminum, brass or plastic but simply didn't last very long in mild (1018) steel. Even with cutting oil, I could only get through about 50 holes of 3/8" plate before it failed.

I was quite impressed. I was using them in some 3/16 stainless steel seem to hold up really well we buy them again.

Broke on first use
Broke on the very first hole I drilled, did a 1/8 pilot hole, cut trough an angled iron mild steel and a 3/4 plywood sheet to install M12 treaded swivel wheels on a work bench, I ordered a replacement, I used a drill at the slow speed and took my time, it must have been a metal failure of the bit, it broke like glass

Very poor quality, it will cause you more problems than it solves.
Snapped in half on the very first use. I would rate it negative stars if I could.
