DeadEyeVR Deluxe Audio Strap Adapter Kit for The Oculus Quest 2 DAS FrankenQuest (Black)

We received three small pieces of plastic. No strap. This product is junk.

No instructions provided. While it is mostly self explanatory, instructions would be nice for confirmation that what I’m doing is correct. For example what is the best way to install the Velcro piece? Why include 3-4 business cards with discount codes and pictures of your pets but no instructions?But more importantly the quality of the 3D print is low. One side snapped in with a small amount of effort. The other side I fought with for 30 minutes. After a while I saw the inside ridge was bent inward preventing the attachment from snapping onto the Quest bracket. I had to take a screwdriver and bend the piece outward and finally take an exacto knife and shave a bit off. Finally got it to snap into place.I imagine the market is flooded with similar quality 3D printed attachments. Try to find a more professionally done one and save yourself the headache.

These clips are very poorly constructed. Thanks to only having very minimal instructions (they couldn't even be bothered to put a video on YouTube!) at first I thought I wasn't assembling it properly and that's why the pieces didn't seem to fit flush or line up with anything. However, as it turns out, these are just that poorly fitted.There are gaps of 1/2cm where I expect things to be "fitting" together. the ends on the DAS don't actually nest snugly and flush in these adapter pieces.For the price I really expected so much more than something which looks and performs like they were created by a 6 year old with an entry level 3D printer.

The vender did not provide any instructions on how to put this together or even a link to instructions. Watching some videos online, it appears there are multiple types/adaptions to the adapter. How am I supposed to correctly put this together if I don’t even know which adapter type I purchased (these are really named clearly) and they don’t provide instructions.

Works as advertised on Oculus Quest 2. The plastic is quite rigid making assembly a bit of an effort. I imagine it’s unavoidable due to the nature of printed plastic and the need to support the weight of the headset. Once the arms snapped into place it felt sturdy and looks nice. One more very minor gripe: the piece of Velcro included for the buckle adaptor is small for my big fingers resulting in fumbling and a swear word or two.The only documentation were a few business cards with cute pictures of animals in vr headsets, a coupon and referral to their website. But really it’s easy to figure out how it fits together and the lack of instructions is trivial.Overall I’m happy with these adapters. The issues I had were offset by the lower price and swift shipping.
