FOR MOST COFFEE (French press, pour over etc.): This product will be just fine right out of the box. It does exactly what you think it does. Simply pour in the beans (there’s more space than you will need) and the grinder will do all the work for you and leave the grounds in a cup. However, it was louder than I expected.FOR ESPRESSO: the coffee beans need to be super fine for espresso and they were not fine enough out of the box. However, after I tightened the nut at the base of the grinder (see image) with a pair of pliers, I was able to get very fine ground. It’s 100% perfect for me now. There isn’t a product out there that grinds it all for you and leaves it in a cup with no cleaning/brushing required for such a price. I would highly recommend it.

This grinder is slower than a slow thing crawling through treacle. You will be waiting a long time for a decent enough dose of ground coffee - so long that you would have fallen asleep again. Not very impressed. Loses a star for this. It takes at least 5 minutes to get enough grounds for that first coffee of the morning. Just to add to the misery, you need a special micro USB cable (supplied) that has an extra long micro connector on it. Normal USB cables do not work. So if you lose this cable the grinder will be ultimately useless. Why do companies do this? Just design it to use the standard cables please! Two stars lost due this this alone.On a more positive note, the grinding seems to be consistent and you can get a very fine grind for expresso (especially if you really tighten up the nut at the bottom). Another positive is that the battery lasts a while (it needs to!, to cope with the slow rate of the grinding). I've decided to keep mine as it will be useful to take with me on holiday even if I'll fall asleep again while I have to wait for it to grind...

I was attracted to this grinder because it was rechargeable. In truth it’s awful. The charging cable it was supplied with was half crushed and wouldn’t fit in the port, not a problem, it’s micro usb I’ve got plenty of those. Sadly no such luck. The charging port is so recessed that a standard micro usb doesn’t fit. You need one with an extra long metal section. Eventually found one, and charged the grinder.It’s a burr grinder so you can control the grind size. Filled it up. Set to coarse and turned it on. After ten minutes there was barely enough grind for a single scoop. What’s worse is that even at its most coarse the grind quality is medium and uneven.It’s a slow, poor quality grinder, and I would recommend you avoid. That first test was enough for me to return and get a refund. Awful.

This looked like a great price and package for a ceramic burr grinder. It works, and give a reasonabably consistent grind. I wanted this for espresso - I make single cups at a time.However, to grind enough for 1 cup esspresso it took nearly 5 minutes! I can do it by hand in about a minute with my Porlex manual hand grinder.The other thing, it doesn't look simple to undo the burr to clean and there are no instructions supplied for this.

Overall I loved the idea of this grinder. It’s portable quick and relatively quiet. Looks relatively aesthetically pleasing too. Sadly that’s where the positives end. The grind is poor on all settings. Lots of popcorning, sometimes the beans don’t even drop through. When they finally get to their allegedly ground state I could grind finer beans between my finger tips than this.Overall a great idea poorly executed and non functional.

The charging port is recessed so only the original cable works with it (which was quickly lost among all the others).Since Amazon can’t order replacements they only allowed me to return the whole thing.

Slow to grind but it does a good enough job. The battery seems to last a while so could be used to travel but I'd just buy ground coffee in that case..There are 2 screws in the base which makes cleaning awkward.

It works well, grinds on the battery, and when on charge, grind coarseness could be a but finer at the lowest level, but it is fine enough for ourselves. Only slight downside is the usb cable, although micro usb the plug is long and there standard cables will not work.But a good purchase, recommended
