the first snap was perfect, but after that the little part that you squish (to hold the snap on) started to squish crooked. the second snap could not snap because that (piece of squished plastic) was in the way. I had to trim it with a razor. I tried to be very careful to keep it straight, thinking that maybe it was my error, but it continued to get worse with each snap. the fourth snap ripped the fabric when I tried to unsnap it (so, bright side- the snaps hold well). I gave up after that.

What a relief to find these snaps and the tool for applying them! I've been using metal snaps on doll clothes and have often been frustrated when the prongs do the splits. These plastic ones are very easy to apply, are sturdy, and don't come off, even with a lot of pulling. The colors are also nice. The outside of the snaps are shiny and look like buttons.The reason for my 4 stars instead of 5 is that most of the ones I applied were very difficult to open, pull apart. I solved that problem by using my pliers and gently squeezing the male part several times. (Don't squeeze too hard or you could break it.) That seems to make that part a little narrower and thus hangs on but also lets go. I figured it to be a good idea because I've been using them on hand-knit sweaters for 18" American Girl type dolls and I can remember the frustration I've experienced when something doesn't work easily. It's not a good idea to make something that a child wants to rip off or throw across the room!I recommend these snaps for any kind of project that needs snaps as long as you don't want them to be invisible on the outside.

Love this purchase.Pro: easier to use than the metal one. Various colors to pick from and cheaper. Amazon Prime made it easy for purchasing and shipping.Con: Recommend placing a towel under the pliers when attaching the snaps. This will make the snaps closed tight and straight = make it easy for snapping. Otherwise you might have to remove the snap and redo it.

I really enjoy using these snaps and pliers. I love that I got a variety of colors. They work well and I didn't have any problems getting the snaps aligned or pressed on. I prefer this kind of snap to a magnetic closure. I've been using it to replace magnetic snaps in purses and such. This works MUCH easier and better than the metal snap pliers you can buy for the same price.

The snaps work well. They are pretty sticky at first and require some snapping and unsnapping prior to regular use. Problem though!! 2 of my packs of 10 white snaps had no female snap included. So 20 out of 100 can't be used to make a snap. Contacted seller, no response thus far.

This is a perfect starter kit for applying plastic snaps. The snaps that come with the pliers are in different styles and colors. The pliers Coke with all the adapters needed for the different size snaps. The pliers are easy to use and easy to change out the snap settings.

Functionally no problems. However, the snaps arrived unlabeled and while that doesn't bother me for the color names, I'm left guessing as to which of the white snaps in my bundles are which size since they included 14, 16, 19, 20, and 22 and I have no idea which are which, as the size difference between a 14 and a 16 and a 19 and a 20 is minimal. There are also no instructions, so be prepared to search for a tutorial if you don't already know how they work.

I advise you to practice first on a scrap. It takes a few tries to get the hang of it. I found that it worked best for me when I put a piece of cloth between the back side of the snap and the plier. It seemed to give the piece less opportunity to wiggle and get out of alignment.
