My father, who is always a U.S. Marine, passed away in 1984. I inherited most of his military and non-military weapons. As a retired law enforcement officer with my own collection, my wife surprised me with a beautiful gun cabinet she purchased at an antique store. Some of the original cabinet locks were missing, but after searching to no avail, I was surprised to find the exact match on Amazon. The weapons are also secured by other means, so these locks are for discouraging visitors (and grandchildren) from opening the cabinet doors. Installation was fairly simple. Extremely glad I found the exact replacement at a very reasonable cost.

They are working just fine

After the modification of my 60 year old gun cabinet was complete, we needed a new lock to keep Donnie, the Elf on the Shelf out of my 'liquid' Christmas Cheer! It worked just as it should and as a bonus, it was easy to install.

It does the job and looks good doing it. That's where the good stuff ends. As you can see, I had to put a pad on the back side of the lever to reduce the looseness of the door when locked. I understand that the lever is more for use with drawers where you can decide where the locking slit goes but it would make the product so much better if you had some ability to control the lever contact point in the other door. The core has a little much ability to wiggle CCW and CW, which, if left that way, can put the keyhole off-kilter and make it look like an novice install job. Finally, the key is kinda rough to insert. You gotta practice a little to get good at inserting the key (the positioning and jiggling) but it has gotten better after some use so maybe it just had some sharp edges on the pins and key when new. Overall does the job and is aesthetically pleasing (love the color) on Both sides (which is hard to do) but there's definitely room for improvement. For the money you can't really be too critical but I'm just telling it like it is.

Works well, looks good and seems like good quality.

Don't buy for cabinets if you have overlay doors with 3/4" faceframes, it won't fit and you'll just end up with a hole in your cabinet door. Also, the template in the instructions has you drill the hole too high so the backside of the lock doesn't clear the faceframe. I shouldn't have trusted amazon for this, now i have to build a new door. Expensive mistake.

The dimensions were a little off. I had to drill a larger hole in the drawer. Other than that, the product is what I expected. It looks good and works good. The key would get stuck immediately and not release but that isn't anything that a little WD-40 didn't take care of. Works great and would purchase again!

Easy to install and looks nice. Used it to secure our liquor cabinet.
