Top water doesn't usually do well on my river catching smallmouth, I've used jitter bugs, frogs etc etc. Pretty much just gave up on top water.First day i got these i slammed like six smallies and had atleast twenty strikes.I went for a yak on another river with some buddies and between two of us we caught over 50 smallies on these lures alone, I've prob caught like over thirty fish on these and they still work perfectlyGreat lures, only issue is you will have a lot of fish get off on these but i've heard thats pretty normal for whoppers.One of my favorite lures forsure.
