Air Intake Manifold Flap Adjuster Unit DISA Valve Repair Kit & O-Ring Compatible with 2001-2006 BMW Replaces # 11617544805

First off, I ordered the wrong one. I think I this was for the 3.0l. Most of the time the plastic peace brakes off. in my case I was able to use everything but the flap. It all worked out just fine and was pretty easy to replace. There are plenty of YouTube videos that shows the process of removing the box. If you need the flap, make sure you look at yours first. One of them is rounded and the other has a flat angle. There are several models that use these flapper valves.

If you are going to go through the trouble of removing the DISA valve (which isn’t that difficult). You might as well replace the part with a new one. You will spend more time trying to repair it than replacing it altogether.

It was delivered on time. I ordered the wrong part. But I was able to make it work.

The engine in our X3 was having a very slight vacuum leak (after a period of time, trouble codes for lean conditions on both banks would appear). It turned out my DISA valve was working fine, but I replaced it anyway, since it was over a decade old and I had it apart. The replacement is not 100% identical in design, but mounts and seals securely. It didn't make anything worse.

***Update it has now been about 3 months and still works as intended***Kit arrived and was relatively easy to install. Contains everything except the little locking pin at the end of the flap which you can reuse. Been a little over a month now and works well!

I bought it for my ZHP (330) everything worked except the seal which is not a proper size and it leaked.

The actual flap was too big for my 04 325i sedan, but I was able to use the other parts.

Great Product. Relatively easy to rebuild the valve at a fraction of the cost of a new unit. Came with everything needed. I personally had watched numerous youtube videos on the process before receiving the parts, so i don't actually recall what if any instructions were included, but youtube will always be better than even the most well written/illustrated instructions.
