Q: Can this product be used on wavy, very fine hair or would it weigh it down?

I think this product is fine, but they have a lot of different products out there. I usually try to buy the best ones and see how those products work with my hair. Then I would make a decision what im going to stick with

Q: Does this help maintain ashy tones?

I use this on my 9 year old granddaughters blond hair in the summer. I use the blue bottle during the other months. It helps her hair when I spray it on before she swims to keep it from feeling like straw and having green tint. I havent noticed her hair having a ashy tone so maybe this does help with that but I am not sure. I do love the pravana products.

Q: I’m looking into purchasing this spray and I get my hair blonde balayage, do you have to use the shampoo & conditioner or can you just use the spray?

No you don't need to use the shampoo and conditioner to use this spray. I do have the Pravana shampoo and conditioner but I have to be careful as the shampoo puts purple in my blond. The seal and protect is a excellent product!
