These curtains are absolutely beautiful but they are definitely NOT blackout curtains. This photo was taken this evening after the sun weakened and the cloud cover moved it. This afternoon when I put them up, room was so bright that my niece joked that she wouldn’t need a lamp anymore. I ended up returning these because they almost glowed! It is no exaggeration that they are WHITE. They're also less of a fabric, and feel more like almost a foam sheet (which probably makes them look even MORE white).Sadly I can't say anything about their darkening powers because I didn't even put them up.Your house will need to be very bright inside to use these cuz the whiteness will make everything else around them look dingy.

RECEIVED THESE YESTERDAY AND HUNG THEM UP TODAY. EXACTLY WHAT I WANTED AND EXPECTED.FIRST, THEY ARE BEAUTIFUL. SECOND, THEY DARKEN THE BEDROOM PERFECTLY. THEY WILL BE HELPFUL ALL YEAR ROUND. KEEP OUT THE WINTER DRAFT AND SHADE OUT THE SUMMER HEAT. THE QUALITY IS GREAT, DELIVERY WAS QUICK AND AS I MENTIONED, THEY ARE BEAUTIFUL. SO HAPPY I PURCHASED THEM.

These are not blackout. Nice and thick but light shines through. The pattern is nice with the light shining in.

Decided I hated the black out curtains I purchased last year and have been searching for something pretty - and soft and flowy...thought these looked good online but they look even better in person. The silver twigs in the design pick up light and sparkle-no sparkle when lights off and no moon or sun shining through.Very elegant and luxurous.

These are beautiful. They accent the decor in the room perfectly. Just a note, if you want to block light these aren't for you. They do calm the harsh sunlight but they don't do much more. Esentislly these are more to appreciate for their looks.

These are really pretty drapes. I love how they subtly sparkle when the light hits the silver just right. I've gotten tons of compliments and am so happy with the quality of the curtains for the price. AWESOME!!
