Engaging Storytelling Packaged as History in a Book
Whether you are a reader who loves to delve into the annals of history or one who prefers to be swept up in the drama of human conflict, Newsies vs. the World delivers a generous helping of both, satisfying and exceeding hidden expectations. With vivid imagery and engaging storytelling that pulls us into their world, Ashley Varela brings to life the monumental uphill battle the "newsies" faced, unveiling base human instincts that pit publisher against publisher and child against his master. Root for the underdog and as you do, don't be surprised when you learn much more than a one-off tale from history can supply. Inspiration and courage may be found in their journey—even if their ending doesn't provide the "happily ever after" we all hoped to see. From cover to cover, this book is a thoroughly compelling, emotional, and informative read.

A very thorough telling
This book was very informative and very detailed. I didn't know much about the topic until I started researching it and this book filled most of the gaps and answered most of the questions I had. I also enjoyed the history behind the actual shows.I noticed a few typos here and there but other than that the writing was very well done.
