PelicanColor Case CVPKG Padded dividers to fit The Pelican 1610 case, Grey

I had my doubts about the https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0917RTBK7?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details, especially when I unboxed it. It was packed well but it looked like a jigsaw puzzle when I took everything out and placed it on the floor. Essentially, it is! I looked online and even went to the company webpage and youtube but there were no instructions anywhere concerning assembly. I began the very slow process of figuring it out. I have used the foam from Pelican for many years but it was a mess after many equipment changes over the years. After laying all of my gear out on the floor, I first put the piece for the sides in the 1610 Case and then the front-to-back pieces. Then took the small pieces (with the atomic velcro) apart and placed them in the box appx where I thought they would fit. Eventually. I had everything placed and loaded the case...Photo above!

I feel like this product is priced the way it is because buyers are putting it inside an expensive case… it doesn’t have a ridged outer shell… so the “shape” doesn’t hold… it sort of “folds in” on itself… it’s ok… I just feel like it’s way over priced…

I looked at the OEM version and this one is just more versatile. It also brought life back to my expensive case that I originally got with foam years ago like an idiot. Foam is great for equipment that isn't going to change but for camera gear, how long are you going to use that same camera/lens/etc combo?I forget exactly what the official Pelican version doesn't do, I believe off the top of my head it has two or three long strips that cannot be shortened. They go across the entire case. That's a big silly limitation in my opinion.Note: this was surprisingly confusing to "put together". It was just packaged really odd. You'll see if you get it and I recommend you do over the OEM version.
