Product-Led SEO: The Why Behind Building Your Organic Growth Strategy

Excellent holistic perspective on the why and how of SEO-as-a-product for the enterprise
While this book does include a "how-to" section about SEO best practices, the value in Eli's words are his recommendations of looking at SEO as if it were a product in itself, and the holistic ROI that it can provide to your enterprise. Digital marketers should see renewed value in their SEO efforts after reading this book, but more importantly business leaders as well as non-marketing leaders should see a new value in the long-term strategy that SEO requires to be truly successful and the internal collaboration that is needed to help accelerate its success. A truly refreshing read that is recommended for any business leader or marketer!

Incredibly helpful book for seasoned SEOs, CMOs and Product Leaders
As a digital marketer who has applied her background in SEO to Product Management, Eli's book is a MUST READ. Search is dynamic discipline and at times a lot can change but, in the same way, the fundamentals that drive results largely remain the same. This book has those fundamentals and guiding principles applied to what it takes to drive product adoption and growth. Since SEO wasn't something any practicing professional learned in school, it's based on actual experience, mentorship, and applying a test and learn mentality. What's really fantastic about this book is that it is also a highly educational reference for modern business leaders. You know your business and products needs to invest in building and maintaining a strong foundation in organic traffic & revenue, but you don't know what type of SEO to hire, or what kind of team to invest in building out...Product-Led SEO has you covered. Get this book. Eli's distilled experience and learnings in his book will serve you, the business leader or operator, well.

Great Book on SEO Strategy
5 stars all the way! As someone who has been involved in SEO since 2005, I strongly recommend Product-Led SEO.As Eli points out in his book, when managed strategically SEO can be a powerful growth engine. The book proves that leveraging SEO can contribute a massive amount of new business value. But as Eli explains, SEO is a team sport, and you need to work effectively with executives and cross-functional teams to maximize organic search results. One concept that I really love from the book is what Eli describes as "Blue Ocean SEO". The approach focuses obsessively on the target audience, not on search volumes. The idea is to create new demand through product-market fit and category domination. To create content that answers your prospective customers' questions in your own unique, differentiated way. To create untapped demand, and then to seize on it through SEO.I wholeheartedly agree with Eli that one of the greatest attributes of SEO is that the results compound over time. To produce compound growth for your business is one of the most strategic things you can do in your marketing, and SEO is an effective means of achieving that kind of powerful growth.Product-Led SEO is a strong guide that every marketing executive should read.

How to sell SEO for B2B
After a few years out of the field, I was looking for references in SEO and I wanted to find deep material about it. I browsed this book which was some sort of catching up in concept blended with business strategies in making CEO understand that SEO is way over a bunch of keywords and rankings. Eli Schwartz precisely describes real-world scenarios where this tactic of SERP can bring a tone of quality leads and make them active in the funnel. It took me a while to break up misconceptions about it and this book helped me a lot to understand the presence of SEO for business and its impacts. I highly recommend the lecture.

Excellent Book on SEO Strategy and Workflows that actually will generte revenue
The main threads of the book focus on how to engage the searcher via their problem, needs, and interests as they align to your products or services. Eli offers workflows that can improve your overall SEO performance based on how search engines are trying to return optimal results to the searcher. There is no hype, gimmicks, tricks, or shiny object nonsense, just the brutal truth of what is necessary to capture traffic and sales from search engines. Eli normalizes SEO actions clearly demonstrating that only scale and bureaucracy separate SEO for small sites and large sites. There is a solid focus on leveraging SEO for generating business value and growth. It was very refreshing to hear and SEO talk about more than just rankings and chasing algorithm updates. He tells you where and how to focus on real business value contributions. Highly recommend reading and sharing with management.

Real world SEO
Lots of SEO books are full of snake oil and content posted on SEJ, MOZ, ahref. This one is original and is well worth having on the bookshelf. The principles covered in the book are priceless.

Generic - Beginners with no knowledge
I hate leaving reviews such as this because it's a personal and subjective opinion.I can confirm that the author has good knowledge about Product marketing, Not sure if he has mastered the SEO subject itself. Saying it because you can easily find most of this information on the internet, forums, blogs. There little structure, or logical fluidity on this book.I scanned the book reading the "strategy and tactics along with international SEO" - so I could make an honest decision. First and foremost he should start by explaining how the SERP's work.Fast forward ..then "how to start an SEO Intent-based campaign for any business".Ex: Objectives + Business & campaign Goals + Understand customer Journey + Geo location etc. Not a product per se. I can but really, really, make up my mind but I'd say he's more of a product MKT guy.Nothing wrong with it a did a course n that too. I stick with this: Nowadays it's User needs= wants + Content SEO working with some marketing tactics, sales and customer services because from experience I know what users, the real people want. Simple as that.I can understand IF the Product manager wants to become an SEO product manager. that is a different think.

Very well written however…
I rarely buy SEO books because the advice can be found on blogs and videos for free. But this book is different and it introduces a new methodology which is product-led SEO.The strategy is original and innovative but it’s just 1/3 of the all book. The rest just explains basic concepts about SEO.I have the feeling this book is ideal for beginners.

Product thinking for SEO
While I don’t work on SEO, as a startup using an external agency for marketing, I bought this book to inform myself better, so that I can have realistic expectations as well as be more knowledgeable when working with the agency. The initial chapters of the book are great for that. Overall, good value for someone who wants to understand what SEO is all about, or oversee SEO at a company. It’s not a book that’ll teach you how to do SEO….it’s more of a SEO philosophy.

Name is misleading
There is only 5 pages related to product led seo. And rest book is filled with general seo.Rather than writer should focus more on the topic of book and may give more examples.
