Great pendrive, terrible retraction mechanism
The pendrive works fine; I got the expected read/write/mix speeds on Crystal Disk Mark for USB 3.1 Gen 1, and have used them on multiple ports on multiple machines without issue. However, the press and drag/push mechanism to retract and reveal the USB connector is very irritating. So irritating I'm actually writing a review for something as banal as a pendrive. The form factor for this drive is long but thin and narrow, so getting the requisite grip has proven hard for me, and the button frequently gets stuck halfway requiring attention from me. For someone who was looking to add this to my regular use collection, this is enough of a reason to relegate the drives to infrequent long term use-cases like OS installation media. This may sound petty, but I don't want to be annoyed by something that I have to interact with multiple times a day if there are ready alternatives.Maybe I lack dexterity that the average user posseses, so YMMV, but I would advise against these being daily use drives. There are many drives that function exactly the same that use a cap or something less finicky.

fast but 1 of 5 failed
Pro:I have 5 of these and they are fast read and write. Transferred 25.58 GB from a MAC M1 in 22 minutes. By my calculations that is 151Mb/sec. Correction - that is 151Mbit/sec or 18.9Mb/sec.Con:The speed degraded on one of the five to a snails pace. Started the 25.58 GB copy to it and after about 30 minutes started the same copy to a second of these. The second copy completed and the first was still only about half completed. It was slow to begin with but I didn't pay that much attention until it got progressively slower. This was after 3 months of copy/delete once a week.Summary:In spite of the 20% failure rate, i would buy these again because of the speed when they do work. I use these for backups that will have no access to the internet.

Good and bad
As other reviews have said, really bad getting the connector pushed out to use. Who designed this? My second issue is for those who use Android devices (I don't) but this flash drive comes with an App on it and a guide on how to turn off security on your phone to use it. NO CREDIBLE COMPANY like SanDisk should EVER be doing this and you should NOT follow these instructions and use the app on the flash drive. Just use an app on your phone already or get something from the Google Play store. Finally it works fine with iPads (and future iPhones) that HAVE USB-C ports. One reviewer below said they have an iPad 7 and the reason it is not working Sir is that your iPad has a Lightning port not a USB-C port. All the iPad Pro since 2018 have USB-C as well as the iPad Air since 2020, iPad mini since 2021, and iPad since 2020 which have USB-C too. Due to recent EU laws all future iPad and iPhone will have USB-C. You can find access to the flash disk in the Files app or within apps that let you choose where to save data. You can even buy a lightning to USB port cable if you really want to use a flash drive with your non-USB-C iPad.Hope this all helps.

Stylish But Also Incredibly Practical
The SanDisk 256GB Ultra USB Type-C Flash Drive in black, and it's been a lifesaver for my storage needs. This little device is not only stylish but also incredibly practical with its Type-C compatibility, which works seamlessly with my devices. It's like having a portable vault for all my important files and documents. The 256GB capacity means I never have to worry about running out of space, and transferring data is super speedy. Overall, this flash drive has made my digital life so much easier, and I couldn't be happier with my purchase. If you need reliable and ample storage on the go, I highly recommend giving it a try!
