We bought this cooker for a two-person household after our last cooker broke. We eat rice almost every day. This cooker is perfectly usable for two people but can also be used for bigger households. It is easy to use with a big and sturdy latch and big lights to indicate if the cooker is cooking the rice, or keeping it warm. It cooks to perfection, without burning the rice, which ever kind of rice you are using: Jasmin, Basmati or glutinous rice and cheap rice or expensive rice. The rice is also kept warm for an indefinite time. You can also turn the device off when the rice is cooked and subsequently warmed for ten minutes, after which the rice is kept sufficiently warm for at least 15-20 minutes.When cooking the sides of the cooker stay cool so you do not have to worry about the electrical cord becoming damaged or burning yourself. The bowl on the inside of the cooker can be easily taken out to fill and clean after cooking. Make sure you do not damage the bowl by using a metal spoon; always use a plastic one (comes with the device along with a measuring cup) or a bone rice spoon as is used in many Asian countries (we use an Indonesian bone spoon which also works perfectly for both stirring and serving). Clean the bowl with only water or maybe some washing-up liquid and a washing-up brush and the bowl will stay in good shape.The design is a little different from most rice cookers. It's bold and other rice cookers are usually a little more narrow and higher. You have to consider this when buying this cooker; make sure you have the room to place the cooker, its maybe an inch or an inch-and-a-half wider than your usual cooker and the same less in height. Having said that, it is a sturdy and bold device and it will look good on most counter tops. Another important feature is the lid; it is sufficiently heavy to stay closed during cooking. Our last cooker had a lid that was to light. When the rice was cooking the lid would 'dance around' causing the counter top to get sprayed in cooking liquid.This cooker is certainly a very good buy and certainly not expensive. We are from The Netherlands and I was pleasantly surprised that the cooker was delivered free of charge! It is definitely worth the money and was delivered withing four days.There is only one thing that I found disappointing as I unpacked the cooker when it was delivered: the picture on the Amazon website does not accurately show the material of the outside of the cooker. It is of synthetic material (as it's of course cooltouch) and looks a bit 'plasticcy'. But after placing the cooker on the counter top I soon got used to it and I am now perfectly happy with it.Our method of cooking rice is as follows: measure the amount of rice you need in the measuring cup and add water. Shake the rice around so that it's evenly distributed in the bowl and every grain is submerged in water. No matter how much rice you are cooking, make sure there is about one centimeter of water on top of the rice. Cook the rice and do not stir until the light has changed from cooking to warming. Let the rice warm and stir again before serving. If the rice is sligthly too wet, take off the lid and let it steam for a bit.

Quality piece of kit. Cooks rice beautifully, as well as any restaurant. I highly recommend this wonderful product. You will be happy you purchased it.
