Fun
I'm probably not the target audience for this product. I'm a grown adult, and bought this because I needed a new pair of headphones to wear at the gym and thought pokemon ones would give me mad hipster cred. The headphones themselves have rather poor sound quality, but are also sturdily built and capable of taking a beating -- I accidentally got them caught in my backpack zipper, and they still work fine. In other words, perfect for a kid. The DVD has three episodes featuring oshawott, which were fun to watch since oshawott is my favorite pokemon, but also slightly jarring because a lot of them took place in context of the overall series. The book has some neat facts about oshawott and I think a small child just learning how to read would probably really like it.

Perfect!
My Autistic daughter got this for christmas and this was her favorite pokemon, purchasing this alone for the headphones was worth it as they are rare to find.

When I opened the box I saw that the book was slightly bent and it had smudges on the cover if it were handled by someone who had just eaten. Not impressed. Hopefully my son won't mind.

Catch Tepig!
I bought this for my son's birthday. It is an adorable set with a DVD, book and matching Tepig ear buds. If you have a Pokemon fan at home, this is a wonderful gift. I bought the same set featuring Oshawott for my daughter. She loved it!

Book is fine, but DVD is Region 1 and headphone sound isn't great.
Whilst I'm far from the target demographic for this book as an older Pokémon fan, I thought I should make other potential buyers aware of a few things. The book itself is fine- 32 pages and in full colour, with lots of cute, colourful images and information on Oshawott and Pokémon in general. Very much 'does what it says on the tin'.The DVD is fine except for the fact that it's Region 1 (America) and therefore won't work on most UK players. This is pretty short-sighted on the publisher's part, as, unlike DVDs, books are sold much more internationally as they don't tend to have any region locking. Bearing that in mind, they really should have made the DVD region-free, since as far as I'm aware the Region 1 version is the only edition of this book/ DVD. Unless you're not fussed about the DVD working, you might want to check to make sure you have a means of playing American DVDs before buying to avoid any disappointment. The headphones are quite possibly the most adorable headphones ever, but the sound quality is pretty poor. Then again, I say that as someone trying them out after a year of using Apple's nice-sounding (if horribly overpriced) earpod heaphones. I'm sure kids will be too happy at the fact they have little Oshawott stuck in their ears to care much about the less-than-perfect sound quality.
