I purchased this for my grandson's first-year portraits. He ordinarily wears 18-24 month sizes because he is solid and does not like a tight fit. So, we ordered extra large, deciding we could take in the outfit with safety pins if it were too big.Fit/sizing: We decided it looked fine without alterations. (But you can judge that for yourself by looking at the picture) The suspenders could have been shortened just a little. Although the cap fit my 12-month grandson just fine, it may be too small for older babies and for those with larger heads. A lot of boy babies have big heads - nothing wrong with that but the cap is made for smaller noggins.Quality: Material and construction quality were good. The cap would look better if the brim had something to hold its shape, but ironing it helps. It isn't worn for long, anyway.Overall, I am pleased.

I purchased for my 11 month son and he looked great in his 1st year professional photo shoot. I purchased 2T for my son since he is tall, 31 inches. A little loose but he can always grow into it. Contrary to other reviews, the hat fits him loose, however I did purchase a larger size. My suggestion, purchase dress shoes from Zulily. Great price and coordinates beautifully with the outfit. The name of the shoe brand is Trumpfit and the description of the shoe is "navy buckle loafer." The buckle on the shoe is silver, if you don't mind that it does not match the gold buttons on sailor outfit. If you purchase dress shoes, purchase nylon tights to make it easier to slip shoes onto your child's feet. Stay away from cotton tights, as this will make it hard to slide shoes on since it is a thicker material. White tights look great with this outfit for boys. My son had that European look, very stylish!

I ordered three of these for my grandsons to wear for Easter pictures. They couldn't be more adorable! The fabric makes it difficult to keep the shirts tucked in though. The material is very slick. The fit was a bit large on all of the kids bit it worked. The ensemble couldn't be cuter and really made for the most adorable pictures! Don't untie the tie on the shirt! It is nearly i.possible to figure out how to get it back to it's original position. Overall, I am very happy with this purchase. They served the purpose I bought them for and i would buy them again. Absolutely sweet looking!

I got this for my son's 1st birthday outfit coming up. I tried it on him to see if it fits good and it's perfect! He's a little on the tall side so if your kid is too, this is the size to get him. The hat fit good as well. Material isn't flimsy or cheap, just right. If you're thinking of getting a little sailor outfit for your son, this is the outfit to get! (Pro tip) definitely size up if your kid is taller/bigger. My baby boy is about 32 inches long and weights right around 22 pounds.

I liked everything about the outfit, just what I wanted!

I bought this for my son’s first year birthday. My son is about 20 pounds and 30 inches long so we ordered the XL and it fit perfectly. I absolutely loved the hat and the outfit was adorable. The hat does stretch but by very little. So if your child has a bigger head it might not fit unless you cut a little from the back to loosen it (my son’s head is small and it fit nicely with a little room).The ONLY reason I gave this a 4/5 stars is because of the shirt. When we were taking pictures I had to constantly keep tucking it in and it’s hard when you have a baby that moves around. It would’ve been really nice if the shirt was a onesie then you wouldn’t have to worry about it coming out.Other than that it’s a great buy! :)

This is a super cute outfit for your older baby or toddler. I ordered a large. My 7 month old is 20 lbs. looks like it won’t fit until he’s 30 pounds. I’d rather have it too big than too small. I guess I’ll just have to wait. 🙂

Very adorable outfit. The material is not great. Buttons will need to be reinforced to make sure they don't fall off.I have a 11 months old boy who is quite big and wears 24 month clothes (carter's 24 month size.This fits him perfect in an XL. It will be worn forhis first birthday party. Will need onesie under it bc it is way too rough for the skin. However, it's going to be absolutely gorgeous for pictures.The hat is perfect on him. His head is average for a 2 year old given he's on the big side. If your kid wears a 24 month size then definitely go with the extra large.Overall, good outfit, rough material, hat very cute. Would buy again. Wish it was 100 percent cotton but for one day it's perfect for pics!
